I have entered the Kaba when I was a small boy. That day there were very very few people and surprisingly it was being washed and they needed few volunteers. My dad climbed in. The man inside inside pulled me and my siblings and few other men in and it looked not like this. Was so ancient and those silver pots were so so ancient too hanging around on top and there wasn’t any lights so kind of dark. When we were climbing the stairs to reach the top exit, the wooden stairs were also so ancient and shaky I thought they would break at any moment. Reached the top. Helped pull the black cover. Prayed inside. It was an experience I never forget. I guess the upgrade was recent. They should have try their best to keep it as ancient as possible with just upgrading the stairs. You could directly feel the times and presence of the prophets’ time.

Everyone must remember, the Kaaba has been completely reconstructed a number of times. The location has remained the same but the original size, interior and shape is not the same. People must understand. This is a place of pilgrimage but not only that, a direction point for all Muslims to pray toward. To ask why is to question God and why He thinks it appropriate. Like why we pray and why there’s certain rituals. It’s the decree. If you question everything then you’ll never understand or agree because your mind will make a conclusion based on your small knowledge and understanding however, if there is a Creator which I believe there is, there is a wisdom to everything beyond our comprehension.

That black stone is a piece of a meteorite and no one knows if was already there or if was taken there. What is known from Roman times, is that in the place of the cube, there was a round temple dedicated to a Goddess that was venerated as a Mother and Protector. It was already a place of pilgrimage of merchantes that went there to thank her for the protection given by Her in their travels. The Romans also had a Black Stone of a Goddess of Asia Minor that they took to Rome and the belief was, as long as they had it the Empire would stand, no one knows what happen to it. Legend says it was taken to Constantinople and from there the first Cruzaders stole it and took it to France, from there was taken by the Holy Roman Emperor, it was stolen and taken to England to Elisabeth 1st, stolen again and taken to America. Everyone that had that Black Stone, had an empire that marked the world. Will see who's next.

Well, it’s had to be renovated or rebuilt a few times, and there is a story about the Prophet (PBUH) doing a really ingenious thing: different tribal or family groups wanted the honor of placing either a cornerstone to rebuild, or maybe it was the special rock (I’m not sure which)… but, to avoid the different family groups feeling slighted about who’d be chosen to do this special part of rebuilding or renovation, the Prophet had the cornerstone (or again, perhaps it was the special rock) placed on a blanket or cloth, and then many heads of family or heads of tribe ALL were able to grab a part of the blanket and carry the stone to where it ought to be. (Very cool solution, no ?)

Only God in Trinity is worshipped, but saints are venerated for their godliness, with images of God incarnate and his saints. Why is the Ka’aba itself worthy of veneration? Is not the origin of its putative holiness pre-Islamic? Before the location Mecca was chosen as the direction of the qiblah, it was Jerusalem.
