Sikh ended up the mughal empire in 1739 and then the Sikh empire was started. Punjab was the only region which came into rule of british after King Ranjit Singh death 1849. Britishers took Son of king from India to England (Duleep Singh). Sikh is warrior race we fought several fights to protect the nation. That's why everyone respect Sikhs in India and Pakistan as well. Sikh fought all the world wars in lead role to protect the world. Punjab has 0% of hunger because we believe to help every needy person. That's why 2lakh Gurudwara's feeding people everyday. Just had to add the British weren’t totally responsible for the end of the Sikh empire. It actually started in 1799 and in 1801 is when Ranjit Singh was crowned Maharaja. In 1809 the sikhs and British had a peace treaty that they wouldn’t cross into each other’s territories. The Sikh empire was the last power left in India that wasn’t under British control, the reason the empire really ended was cuz of the death of Ranjit Singh, after he died inside the Sikh empire it was like game of thrones. Lots of backstabbing, assassinations and everyone trying to take power. Lal and Tej Singh were two dogar commenders in the Khalsa army who were secretly working with the British in the first Anglo-Sikh war. They wanted to neutralize the strength of the Khalsa army so that they could keep their positions in the empire as the army was taking control of the empire at the time. Ranjit singh died at the age of 58 due to excessive alcohol intake. If he lived longer then a war would’ve most likely not happened and if it did I believe the Sikh empire under the leadership of Ranjit Singh would’ve won, as they basically had the first war won but Lal and Tej Singh did everything in their power to prevent that.

okay listen in-diots, Do you even know what is punjabi culture? punjabi became a language and culture when persians took over the region called punjab 1000 years ago, sikhism came about 400 years ago, all sikhs were muslims, so entire punjab was muslim before, so it is all muslim/persian culture. Real Punjab is the Pakistani punjab because that is the punjabi before sikhism.

you want evidence? can anyone dispute sikhs were not muslims before? so every punjabi was a muslim... if you want more proof punjabi language and culture developed after persian empire took over the region called Punjab. You want more proof? pick upa persian and punjabi dictionary and find out how the words in punjabi developed.. you want more proof look at the sword dance similar to muslims, look at the punjabi bhangra dressing and compare that to the pathan, persian coats, also compare the pathan, sindhi, balochi folk dances to the punjabi dances they are similar.
