For me it’s XTB magnus being impressively INCREDIBLE and XTB Springer, DS blaster & Mirage and Fanstoys Sixshot. Oh yeah also see the XTB shining magnus “repaint”!?

Xtransbots Ultra Magnus is freaking awesome but, I think MMC's Saltus, Springer, is the best Springer.

I just got MP 57 Skyfire and I absolutely love him. The transformation was pretty easy but how toon accurate he is just surprises me. One of the best Takaras IMO. He is priced around the $270 range but I think price will go up. I also purchased rhe TE 03 (Mirage) and its one of my favorite bots. Transformation is a little tricky but its very toon accurate as well.

10. Fans Toys Outrider: I originally went for the XTB Toon version due to accessories and good enough sculpt, but once I saw the paint job of Outrider, I knew it was my Trailbreaker 9. Badcube Bombshell: While not as well built as the Fans Toys Version, the chest changing gimmick elevates it above Grenadier for me and is the best MP Bombshell in my opinion 8. Rose Toys Arcee: Surprisingly well built for a KO of a modern Takara product and a not terrible transformation, my Arcee of choice 7. Fans Toys Hannibal: For a figure with such a plain paint scheme and a relatively useless alt-mode, I was not expecting to love this figure as much as I do, excellent looking modes, wonderful transformation and excellent shelf presence 6. XTB Virtus: I was origninally put off by the price increase, but once I got it, I knew it was the definitive Springer for my shelf. Not terrible transformation, exceleent paint job, great articulation and excellent alt-modes 5. Fans Toys Stomp: For a figure with so much gray plastic, it sitll has one of the best shelf presences of my collection, excellent dino mode and bot mode and awesome accessories 3. MP-21 Bumblebee: For such an old figure, I find that it still presents well, better than the v2, and has a fun transformation 2. Acoustic Wave: The best figure in my collection, I struggle to find a single problem with it, excellent paint, wonderful articulation, awesome accessories and even the tapes are really well done, especially Ravage and Laserbeak. 1. Fans Toys Sheridan: My first third-party figure, and it did not disappoint. Awesome looking robot mode that is accurate to the cartoon but not to a fault, excellent heft, fun transformation and great articulation for such a small figure.

That Blitzwing looks amazingly good. I'm really looking forward to it arriving. It's surprising how toon accurate each mode is. I've read that FT's Cyclonus has some seriously thin and fragile parts. The one thing XTB is good at are accessories. FT could learn from them, but they only seem to include lots of accessories when they are competing against an XTB figure. That Red Alert is a great figure, but I really like the Sideswipe too. Personally, I'd rank the DF seekers above that Jetfire.

I have a bunch of these, and I can say I am so happy with my purchases cause they're judt as perfect of figures as you can get. Xtransbot Commander Stack Xtransbot Janssen Star Toys Blitzwing MP57 Skyfire And MS02/MS02EX All God tier figures. And of course the most recent addition being Blitzwing, I was expecting the sculpt to be good, but I was so afraid that something in the transformation would be frustrating, or that some of the tolerances would be off. Just anything with it being a triple changer from a "New" company. But no, it's just a home run literally in every department And I know Janssen has it's issues and I do like a few things on Fanstoys a bit better, like the Headsculpt and the the solidity, but I do overall like Janssen's look and colors more. And with their newer releases coming with a new Head for Perceptor, I might be able to get the perfect Perceptor I've been waiting for. Hoping Xtransbots Galvatron is solid cause that sculpt is unrivaled in how perfect it is in Robot mode

Definitely agree with TE-03 and Janssen. When FT-49 came out that made me realize how good TE-03 really is. As for Janssen, I don't have it or FT-46 but I would definitely get Janssen if I had to choose one. Basically anything from Fanshobby really impresses me. Their line really got me into the late G1 characters. MB-08 Double Evil I think is my favorite figure in my collection. It's shear mass and presence is unrivaled. Some others you mentioned like ST-01, Quietus and Sovereign I knew were going to be good (to me). An honorable mention would be DX9 Gabriel too.

Got the EX magic square prime. No QC issues other than a loose gas tank hinge a little kikis fixed just fine.

As far as being surprisingly good, the new painted version of X-Transbots aesthetically blew me away. I thought, side to side, it actually had a stronger shelf presence than my FT version. That was my surprise figure as of late. The D.S. seekers surprised the heck out of me too with how great they looked and felt. T.E. Prime every time I look at it in bot mode. All the F.T. minibots, F.T. Motormaster blew me away, and F.T. Shockwave (toy color) still does it for me. M.P. Megatron when it first came out too.

14:02 I am surprised that everyone who is going for “cartoon accuracy” has never mentioned that vehicle mode for Red Alert was drawn as a total different car (a box-on-top-of-a-box car), and no one has attempted to make it. Instead they opted for “toy accuracy” using the Countach, when Red Alert has only the window divisions from it, not even the spoiler

At this point, I've sold almost all my masterpiece and but I'll talk about Legends. The Iron Factory Ultra Magnus was surprisingly good. I went into the purchase thinking it would be decent, but that figure is phenomenal. It looks amazing and is a chunky boy, but still has great articulation. Whenever a company comes up short with articulation, I always think they didn't try hard enough because of what this figure pulled off. Also the transformation is fun and intuitive. Really can't say enough good about the bot. It is getting a re-release from IF and they are even doing Delta Magnus colors. I'm tempted to pick up the repaint but will have to see

I got a broken smoke stack on ms 2.0 ex and some red and blue paint on the white thigh 😢FT Cyclonus is great on plane mode but too thin in jot mode, but it looks great. Yeah Sovereign surprised me and got me into fans toys.

Takara's MP 39 Sunstreaker. It has 2 alt modes, 2! Amazing articulation, and it looks great in bot mode.

I like Fans Toys Galvatron and FT Cyclonus so much I preordered FT Scourge. ShowZ no longer takes my card as payment, so I missed out on FT-02 Soundwave w/ Laserbeak. Waited til last day to pay it flopped so went to Walmart to get a Visa prepaid (ShowZ takes those correct❓) but they stopped selling them. & Walgreens is not in this area. But I really think Soundwave might be in the same league as Galvatron and Cyclonus. I started collecting Fans Toys when original Insecticons came out. Since then I got ALL FT releases EXCEPT Omega, Shockwave, Swoop, Slag, Soundwave, tapes, Fortress, Stomp, Air Raid, & Motormaster. I think I have the rest as well as a original MS-01 & TE-01 Optimus Prime's. I'm not huge on 3rd Party but Fans Toys outdoes themselves everytime!ONLY one I don't like is my original FT Preceptor.

I find it is best to use Paypal it is fast and easy with Showz. Fanstoys does take their quality very serious and lately many of the transformations have gotten better

The surprised hit for me are the MMC's Protectobots as both First Aid and Streetwise basically just jumps off the television screen. Can't wait for the rest of the set.

100% I had never owned any MMC figures before I bought First Aid on a whim, the figure is amazing. Looks great, has a wonderful transformation, feels solid and an incredibly clean alt mode. I bought Streetwise shortly after that and he is equally as impressive. Since then I've gone all in on their combiners and picked up Vortex too

@@Darksbane100 MMC makes very good Transformers and if they had more paint & diecasts, they'd be up there with Fans Toys. I have their take on Karn, both Kultur and Eris Kultur, along with Mirage, Cliffjumper and now the Protectobots. I've replaced Cliffjumper with FT's take as he's way more toon and because Cliffjumper was my very first Transformer figure so he holds a very special place in my heart. The only problem with MMC, I don't see them making very many Transformers. I want their take on Bruticus but, my money isn't infinite so I have to pick and choose.

Not in any order, other then the order I think of them in (ans most surprising figures, not just MP): Fans Toys Thomas. It looks really good in all three modes and the transformation is quite good. Fans Toys Motormaster. Again, looks excellent in both modes, I really like the the transformation, and I am still amazed at it's engineering. Unique Toys Challenger. I still can barely believe they were able to make that version of Prime look so good in bot mode, without a terrible transformation. XTB Cosmo. Not only does he look so good in both modes, but I like transforming it, it has great articulation, and good accessories. It was one of those figures that gave me more of an appreciation of the character due to how good the figure was. MMC Optus Nox. A fun transformation, amazing looking bot mode, and one of the best articulated action figures I own. I also love the sword and cowl. The Magnificent Mecha Optimus Prime. The bot mode looks as good as the ThreeZero figure, has fantastic articulation, a really nice looking alt mode and a fairly intuitive transformation. I think it is my favorite Optimus Prime figure. Not Transformers, but The Black Series Count Dooku was a very surprising figure. It is one of the few that I think beats it's figuarts competition. I had both, but sold the figuarts in favour of a second Black Series version. The figuarts old Man Luke and old man Han. They shouldn't be as good as they are, being a couple of old men, from a Star Wars film that is far from my favourite. They are both some of the best representations of either Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill. Takara MP Prowl. This was the first MP I purchased and I couldn't believe I was spending so much on a transformer, until I got it out of the box and started playing with it and fell in love with the line. Fans Toys Blur. Now I know his transformation is not the best, but he looks amazing in both modes, and is a character I never cared much about. Fun video.

Unfortunately, I got the EX version and right out of the box, the (right side of Prime) smokestack was broken. Had to glue it 2-3 times already. I contacted Show Z with no reply back....

Honestly I was surprised by FT Hitch (Hoist) & how much I like it in hand even tho I'm not that big on the character...I had the toon XTB version & thought I didn't need the FT version but once I picked him up on sale I was literally shocked how much more I prefer him to XTB ( which is in alt mode & for sale 😂😂😂)...I was also surprised by the FT Rig (Huffer) because, again, I thought the BadCube version wasn't beatable until I had Rig in hand...I think this happens more with replacement figures because sometimes your minds eye can change when you've been looking at something 1 way for a long time...great video as always Mr. Mike!!!!!!!!

@@tydiriumhanger1320 Probably because they have so many recolors and minor retools that are likely sitting in supplier's inventories. I know a lot of the XTBs I have were recolors that went on major sale. Including the blue Cosmos.

I like your list, but mine would be too convoluted and impractical to bother posting. For example; my zeta bruticon is one of my top favorites, but only after upgrades and mods, and I couldn't really recommend it based on transformation, etc. BUT AT THE END OF THE DAAAAAY, I love e seeing him on the shelf. I enjoyed your list though!
