These coaches ruined forever these promising NFL players.

The media likes to make a mockery of young players who bust after being a high draft pick-or established players who take a step back in their career.
But one thing that seems to be consistently overlooked-is the impact of changes in the system, usually stemming from a new coach and his staff.
It isn’t always the system either… Sometimes-coaches tank players’ careers for political reasons… Or sometimes, it’s a straight-up personality conflict.
Let’s take a look back at 10 times a terrible coach completely RUINED an NFL player’s career.
Don’t forget to subscribe to TPS and make sure you hit the bell and turn on our notifications and join the notification squad.

You could argue that when the St. Louis Rams drafted Sam Bradford, Steve Spagnuolo never really gave him anything to work with, as far as an offensive line. The only skilled players he had at the time were Steven Jackson and Danny Amendola, despite him often being injured, and was far and away the only reliable receiver he had for years. He only played one full season uninjured under Spagnuolo, and Jeff Fisher didn't do him much better as far as getting him a better line or receivers.

As for another player whose career was destroyed by a terrible HC: Tony Romo. The dude was the Cowboys’ workhorse for years, carrying the team to several wins even during years where the team’s roster was lacking. Years of building up the O-Line paid off in 2014 when he performed so well as to contend for the MVP award. Then DeMarco left in FA and the Cowboys had no running game as a result. But, hey, they drafted Zeke the following year and that meant the Cowboys had an elite prospect behind an elite offensive line. And then Jason Garrett, that soulless ginger twat who owed all of his success(relatively-speaking) to Tony Romo, benched the best Cowboys QB since at least Troy Aikman for a hot-handed rookie that can’t read defenses for shit. I’m convinced the Cowboys are now cursed and I’ll never see them win another Superbowl in my lifetime, and I’m 31.

People always say Shanahan ruined RG3 but I disagree. Sure he played when he was injured, but it was a leg injury not an arm injury. RG3 began to suck because he couldn't throw a football and relied on his legs in able to win. Shanahan even once said that great quarterbacks should not have to rely on their legs to win and that's why he kept RG3 in. I think RG3 failed because of his unwillingness to become a great passer, because the thing is, a dual threat quarterback has a really short shelf life and they need to really know how to throw to continue in this league (i.e. Russell Wilson and Steve McNair)

Barry Sanders had his 2000 yard season under Ross. Imagine if he had a fullback to block for him his whole career.

I came here to say the same thing. That was an absolute assassination attempt on every front by Schiano. He went from a promising young QB with a bright future to a guy with zero confidence whose character had been destroyed in the media with the leaked ADHD medical info.

Freddie kitchens, baker mayfields progression 2019. So many rookies struggle their first year but baker balled out and looked like a star in the making. Wtf happened? Could you imagine if Justin herbert went downhill after his rookie year. Watch baker as a rookie and tell me he shouldn't have got picked 1st.

Fear not for Mitch as he will do great things in Pittsburgh this season, making him a prime candidate for a starting position elsewhere when Kenny P is ready.

You could say much the same about Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson. The political stuff aside, Kaep got stuck having to work miracles when the Whiners got rid of Hairball and his toxic coaching style. A revolving door of coaches and schemes were tried and failed and it was Kaep who got blamed, not the nigh on criminal mismanagement by the SF front office. Russell Wilson has been SO fucked over by Pete Carrol that it isn't even funny. Ever since the Seahawks won the SuperBowl, the entire league has had the book on Carrol... run twice, pass once, depend of the defense for turnovers. That's his ENTIRE plan. Now, Wilson is not a gunslinger... he's not the 'change everything' talent like Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady. But he's a rock-solid tier two QB that can lead a team from the front and be a very credible face of the franchise. With the right offense and the right tools, he's capable of doing incredible things. And Pete Carrol and John Schneider didn't give him anything but the blame.

To me, Trubisky is still a big time bust but it wasnt really his fault. It was Nagy's fault for not even developing him to the potential he could've succeeded in.

In the same way a bad coach can ruin a good player, a good coach can take a "just alright" player and somehow get insane play out of him. I dont know how the hell Sean McVay pulled the results he did out of Jared Goff.

@@PastorTrue93 yeah I see how well Goff did under Fischer. I understand that the quarterback has to have talent and even a great scheme and play calling won’t help a lousy quarterback over the long run but it can make a quarterback look better than they are until the league adjust to them. Just look at Kaepernick.

But there's some good news with Mitch Trebisky. He gets a second chance to shine and a second chance to show everybody that the buddy that he is an NFL starting caliber QB. Going to the Pittsburgh Steelers with who next to Bill Beilchick is the best coach in football Mike Tomlin And with offensive coordinator Matt Canada who wants to make an offense that fits with Mitchell Trubisky. Even with the steelers draft and Kenny Pickett Who could work with Matt Canada Offense. Plus having a guy who literally has the ability to take the starting roll makes Mitch Trubisky have to work very hard in practice and games to keep that job. So what's the steelers Mitchell bisky should have more you should have more success than he ever wouldn't Chicago. Plus with the steelers having a top 5 defense and a top 5 running back The steelers have the potential to go places.
