@@Sirharryflash82 ... not sticking up for Davis in this one, because it certainly wasnt his intention - but do you really think Allen has all those productive years in KC if he had gotten pounded in Oakland for those last few years? I think, ironically, Davis ended up prolonging Allen's career by a couple of years by being such an a-hole. Allen was still averaging 4+ yds/carry at 37 yrs old, I think in part because of the light load he carried because of Davis for those last 4-5 years in Oakland.
@Sirharryflash82
@Sirharryflash82 2 жыл бұрын
@@NickLandess While Allen had productive years with the Chiefs, they weren't PRIME productive years that were wasted and lost with the raiders. He probably missed out on having several thousand yard seasons with double digit touchdowns. Besides, the Chiefs rationed his carries to keep him fresh for the end of the season. What he lost with his time with the raiders he couldn't get back.

Keyshawn Johnson was an interesting case. The Keyshawn Johnson - Gruden beef was 100% on Keyshawn and everybody knows it. Keyshawn is the only diva reciever in NFL history that was allowed and privileged to behave as such but wasn't actually good. He got the preferential treatment and the benefit of the doubt of a star but was average. I feel no sympathy about him whatsoever. I can live with Terrell Owens being a dica cause he was an amazing player. Keyshawn was average at best. Grudens only fault there was for treating him too well.
