I really don't know about #1 (and I absolutely love your lists and still like this one). I mean, you can't necessarily fault a match for being so bad, if someone gets hurt so badly but still finishes the match and gets sent to the hospital immediately afterwards. And as awesome as that Wrestlemania was, Cena vs. Wyatt wasn't anything to write home about either, so that gives you three bad matches on that card.

I don’t think Cena vs Wyatt was a bad match. The result was wrong and they went on to have a much better last man standing match (and a terrible cage match), but I think their Mania match was underrated.

it also had Shield vs New Age Outlaws, a pretty mediocre match. That is to say on a Wrestlemania that only had 7 matches (my god that'll never happen again) half of them just weren't that great. It's hard to really call it that great of a PPV.

The thing that screwed with my brain most about that zombie match and the promotion of the zombie movie around it the most was that just a few weeks later THEY WERE ALREADY DOING A HORROR THEMED PPV!!! Do some rejigging, call Snyder and his promotions teams and the studios behind it and go "hey, let's hold this off for a month, we actually have A PERFECT way to promote this", like, time and place y'know, as it's a horror themed ppv, it might have actually gone down... Well!!? Not WrestleMania standard acceptable popcorn stuff or whatever, BUT THE ENTIRE PPV HAD A HORROR THEME IT WOULD HAVE POSSIBLY EVEN ELEVATED THE PPV THEME!!!!! Instead we just saw some Batista zombie ad a million times unexpectedly and a random match with zombies in a regular ppv. Let them have just a normal regular match and have a zombie rematch a month later, or give others the zombie match. Instead for about 2 months it made WWE seem like an unecessarily spooky kind of tv show in bloody Spring.

I’m going to go back and check out the MITB 11 match. For whatever reason I remember that being a show that was amazing top to bottom. Maybe I’m still considering that, even with a bad match, as I do feel you need a downer to give you an emotional break, so a bad match almost is required for a great show IMO. Not to get into this too much but, for example, see almost all AEW PPVs. Most of their shows are great from story and work rate, but show pacing is pretty bad almost all the time and I get fatigued watching those shows (I know, I’m complaining about good wrestling). But to be corrected, see further down this list of All Out 2021. Maybe that QT/Wight match was what made that show to the next level

AEW’s current style of PPV are definitely hit or miss. I really enjoyed Double or Nothing and Forbidden Door, but All Out was a deflating watch for me, despite two MOTY contenders being on that show

Brock vs Taker being as underwhelming as it was honestly makes the ending even more shocking for me. The crowd were absolutely not in to it, so when Brock wins, everyone wakes up I watched it in a bar and I genuinely think half the crowd weren't even watching when Brock won. I remember watching it and shouting out "BROCK WON!" in disbelief.

I don't know why that Taker vs. Big Show/A-Train match gets so much hate. Yes it was probably the worst match on that card, but that was an absolutely stacked card all the way through. It wasn't terrible by any means.

I'd put Brothers of Destruction vs. Kronik from Unforgiven 2001 on this list as well. Unforgiven was a great PPV, Angle vs. Austin, RVD vs. Jericho, Edge vs. Christian, etc. Unfortunately, it had this terrible tag match at the centre of it.

Paul Wight vs QT Marshall served 1 purpose and 1 purpose only. It was a cool down match, with a STACKED card like All Out 2021, there needed to be a match to get some energy back into the crowd right before the main event, it’s how almost every wrestling ppv is structured now, there’s gotta be that one match that isn’t gonna get that much attention and not gonna get that much time just to make sure the crowd isn’t gassed by the time the main event rolls around

Paul Wight vs QT wasn't even a dud! You could not possibly hope to keep the molten energy of that crowd going, completely unbroken, for the entire show. Wight vs QT is exactly what it needs to be - a quick three minute bit of laugh, just long enough for the crowd to catch its breath, not so long it overstays its welcome. Paul and QT perform their roles perfectly. QT is the PERFECT heel for this match, just the guy you want to see get his arse kicked by Tall Paul. It doesn't kill the crowd, either - they're still white f'n hot the moment it's over - Tall Paul just shushes the crowd briefly so they can enjoy him caving QT's chest in. Fine match, doesn't deserve to be on this list.

Yeah, its an underappreciated fact that wrestling shows _need_ cool-off matches, they can't just be molten good all the way through or the crowd gets too tired. After all, without "bathroom break" matches, the crowd has to hold their piss for hours or risk missing something cool. And Paul Wight in AEW has been used pretty much the way he should at this stage in his career- as a special attraction who comes out every few months to manhandle a couple of smaller guys for a few minutes because _he's a giant._ That said, this doesn't entirely invalidate Adam's point that even if it wasn't a terrible match, it was easily the least-good thing on All-Out 2021 and the one thing that can easily be described as "missable". I think it could have been at #10 instead of #2.
