What pisses me off about Beth's death is that she died so Noah could be free, and then they just kill him off 5 or 6 episodes later. His death was sick as hell though, just wish they would've done a bit more with him.

The idea of Beth dying saving someone else is great and very fitting for her character. But the death she got was absolutely awful. It was for shock value. In my opinion, Beth should’ve died protecting Judith. That seems the most fitting for her character!

the thing is though, not everyone should die being a complete badass and hero. so i prefer beth went out in such a wildcard way. not every death needs a meaning....thats just death. beth suited a shock value death. she had been around since season 2 but wasnt central enough to the show to really matter if her death had no real meaning.

I'm more annoyed at Beth's death if just for the scene of her putting the scissors in her cast. It's so telegraphed that something would go wrong with the exchange, but if we hadn't seen Beth hiding the scissors, her death would feel at least SOME-what surprising.

After Dawn just up and killed her. My dad and I were like this whole arc which we had not liked was all for nothing and the only thing we got out of it was Noah joining the group fully only for Tyreese to die right after and then ofc Noah died 4 episodes later.

An Abraham trying too stop her for doing something stupid. Also, Noah death should have at least been kept for another season with Nicholas still doing what he did. That way we get too spend a bit more time with him before his death.

Killing off Carl is a big mistake. If it was plan out then maybe I be more ok with it but the fact it was a last min decision which makes it worse that they assured Chandler that he was needed for more seasons. Also the fact Scott and cast knew before Andrew/rick wanted to leave the show for awhile but still decided to kill off his son which could of played a major arc for carl in season 9.

My personal opinon 1. Carl should have never died 2. If Carl was going to die Sam should have gone on to get tv Henry's arch. 3. Morgan should have died instead of Carl 4. Owen should have lived and became Ezekiels right hand man and preacher of peace after Morgan and possibly leader of the kingdom if they chose to kill Ezekiel on the Pikes 5. Andrea should have survived and came back in the season 5 premiere after being presumed dead 6. Have Sophia live until at least season 5

I saw in a lot of articles the actor who played t dog didn’t get along with producers and was late to set frequently. That could be one of the reasons he got killed off.Even disregarding that they writers seems to have nothing for him in the show.We learned more about T dog from Glen after his death then we ever did when he was alive.

It's also really interesting seeing that Andrea's actress said that Glenn Mazarra lost his job for Andrea's death. Makes me wonder if Carl's death is what lead to Angela Kang taking over TWD from Scott Gimple

I agree that I don’t think I would have wanted to see Axle kill Beth, but the idea of him or another prisoner surviving and turning out to be a serial killer is one of the smaller plot points from the comics that could have been really great if they expanded on it in the show.

Casting kids or teenagers will probably never last long. The longest was Carl just because he’s supposed to live till the very end. The list goes on: Sophia (well the parents wanted her to leave), Lizzie, Mika, Luke, Molly, Patrick, Meghan (Lily’s mother and Tara’s niece), Enid, Henry, Ron, Sam, the boy and mother Negan saved but got killed by a savior. They will only save the kids that were born in the apocalypse. Adam, Coco, Gracie, Hershel Jr and Judith. Lydia is only one and if she dies well this is proves my point.

For me there’s 3 standouts and they’re all on this list 3rd Abraham, survived his comic death and could have been a great great character for the future of the show 2nd NOAH, this still annoys me to this day, the character HAD SO MUCH PROMISE I can’t think of his character without being frustrated about the whole thing, would 100% be number 1 if not for Carl 1st Carl, speaks for itself 🤷 Great video as always!

I got to meet Irone Singleton (T-dog) at walker stalker Sydney and got to know both him and his wife. They were both fantastic. Hugs and everything. He took the time to have conversations with everyone and was just really pleasant in general. Probably one of the kindest people I have ever met.

Funny story, Jessie's actresses actually wrote a pitch for Jessie to longer in the show, basically Sam and Ron both get killed which causes Jessie to leave Alexandria and they find her in season 7 or 8 as feral woman. I personally don't think that's the perfect story for Jessie but I think it's certainly better than her bullshit abrupt death, Rick was just better off with Jessie than Michonne IMO.

My opinion on each ranking. 10. Axel - I’m actually fine with his death. I found it as a pretty kickass way to start off the Governor’s attack on the prison. 9. T-Dog - I’m actually a bit sore with his death as I actually at the time liked him more than Carol. But I will admit he went out with style. 8. Merle - I actually didn’t know his death was a last minute decision. Even with that his death was the right decision. I don’t really see him fitting in with Rick’s group. 7. Andrea - Yeah this death hurts and is the only one I’ll say for certain was a mistake made by the show runner. We already had Lori, T-Dog, Axel, Merle and Milton. Hers along with Carl’s are easily the worst decision. 6. Dale - yeah pretty much agree with you. Although I’d be fine if it turned into a surrogate parent/ daughter relationship if Dale had lived. 5. Jessie - I feel I’m one of the few who was pissed at her death. Maybe it’s just me but I was convinced that she going to take on comic Andrea’s role. From her having the balls to stand up to Pete, to killing the Wolf, to siding with Rick to her character now being a blond all convinced me of it. Season 6B easily could have been her being a mental wreck after watching both her sons being eaten with a dash of suicide. Only for her to find the strength to move on. 4 and 3 - yeah Beth’s death was really bad. I read somewhere that the actor also was going to move closer just like Carl and Andrea’s actors. I’m more annoyed that Noah’s involvement felt like a waste of time. 2. Abraham - I won’t lie it could be cool seeing Abraham use his military experience to help take down the Saviours. Although he was never one I would put on characters that should have lasted longer. 1. Carl - Yeah he’s pretty much the go to character that shouldn’t have died. I actually liked him a lot more than others.

My favorite T-Dog quote/moment is when Beth’s boyfriend Jimmy holds the gun sideways like a gangster and T-Dog comes up behind him and is like “man, quit that gangster shit” and adjusts his gun. Also my favorite thing about Dale and Andrea was that it showed how the apocalypse changed every aspect of society. 2 girls who were really just leading along an old man and one falls in love, something that wouldn’t really happened in a non apocalyptic world. I also think that they always give character development right before a character dies, hence why it always feels like they die right as they get good.

@@mehbom6332 But that’s my precise point. This isn’t our world. It’s the apocalypse. Things happen that wouldn’t normally happen. An old man and a young woman find comfort in each other. Dale isn’t a creep either, he’s a good man who had a long marriage with a woman his age. And they explain it well, Amy and Andrea were essentially just leading him on for the safety he provided and she fell in love. And she’s in her 20’s or or even older so it’s not like it’s illegal and in my opinion not immoral. It’s a consensual legal relationship, and it’s quite wholesome. You can not like it, that’s fine but I think Kirkman handled it flawlessly.

If they were at least in their lets say late 40's to early 50's that would have been fine any younger than that would really upset me. I'm not saying they should be with anybody horrible or bad but I would really very much prefer them being with men around nearly the same age and similar looks. I feel like the prisoner Oscar was killed too soon like axel. He save Rick and Maggie life and when he dies he isn’t really mentioned again. I also felt like his death was a bit lame he just got shot by a random Woodbury soldier and then is put down by Maggie. If was still live I imagine he’ll be one of the key survivors.

You have once again done a great video! I agree with you on everything. This might sound stupid but I think that the Wolf that Morgan tried to save could have been really interesting to keep around. I know when he tried to kind of save Denise (and Carol saw it) it kinda started her regretting her killing ways a bit more perhaps but I thought when she was getting weepy and introverted it was annoying. They should also stop with the trading of characters, that ultimately lead to nothing. Beth dies for Noah, they throw Noah away. Carl dies for Siddiq, they throw Siddiq away. As Carl dies, Siddiq says he is going to honor Carl, then goes on to get unceremoniously killed by Dante for some Whisperer shock value. It's the empty sacrifice that ruins things. Carl died for nothing. Like imagine if Rick blowing up the bridge failed and the herd just went on to destroy Hilltop (or wherever they were headed)... I know I'd be thinking tf was the point of any of that. Or like if T-Dog sacrificed himself for Carol in the prison, just for Carol to then get killed by a stray bullet from the Governor. Sacrifices must have meaning behind them, and repercussions. They shouldn't be forgotten about as soon as that episode or season ends.

I mentioned this in a different comment but Tyreese should have taken Abraham's tv death and Abraham should have died in season 8. 1. I always found Tyreese's death weak and the fact that it was just for shock value makes it worse 2. Abraham's death wouldn't have been overlooked plus him going out in All Out War makes more sense 3. Unlike Abraham's death, Tyreese's death wouldn't have been overlooked by Glenn's death that much since we knew Tyreese longer than we did with Abraham and it would of been more tragic especially from Rick's point of view watching the man who saved Judith's life being brutally beaten in front of him. Plus the storyline with Sasha wanting to kill Negan can still work with the exception of the whole Rosita plot which can easily be left out.

Robert Kirkman has also said that Tyreese's is his favorite deceased character. Depending on when he said that he could have just been throwing fans off of the fact that he was going to die in Season 5 but regardless I agree.

Sophia is easily #1 on my list. She had the most potential by far. Her and Carl were the future and she was one of the two main characters in future comics in TWD Comics. Going back watching it now, Madison Lintz planned on portraying Sophia for years but was unexpectedly killed off just for shock value. I hope one day they'll do some sort of alternate universe telling Sophia's story. By far the most underrated character in the TV Show version. My mother called her the cutest zombie on the show lmao. Plus the actress is good, been watching her on Bosch. Funny seeing her and Hershel in another show together. Least Bosch actually gave her an opportunity to do shit on-screen.

Andrea was just getting started and Laurie Holden had so much potential to turn her into a legendary character. Just wasn't fair. Show was not very good after they killed her off in my opinion. Also T Dog was wasted as well.

You verbalized exactly how I feel about Carl’s death. Fist this sudden change in character from season 7 to 8 didn’t make any damn sense. And the Carl we knew from every season before would have never been stupid enough to get bit by a walker in that manner. I think the ONLY reason they picked Carl to die over Morgan was so that Morgan could be sent to FEAR. Up until the start of season 8, Morgan was being set up to be the sacrificial lamb to change Ricks mind into sparing Negan, which everyone knew was the plan from the beginning. That’s why when Rick kept saying he was going to kill Negan, I would roll my eyes and think just stop it Gimple, we know that’s not going to happen. The worst problem with TWD (past season 6-A) and Fear is the writing. So much of it stopped making sense. Characters doing things against their established character traits, fight scenes that didn’t make sense, deaths that didn’t work, characters surviving close calls that they should not have, and so on.

My Personal Opinion 1. Tyreese should have survived until season 7 by the hands of Negan instead of Abraham 2. Abraham should have died in All Out War in Season 8 3. T-Dog should have died later on in season 3 possibly getting Oscar's death scene 4. Gareth and the Termites should have lasted a little bit longer in Season 5 5. Noah should have survived for at least 2 to 3 seasons or been a pike victim 6. Carl, "Jesus", Morales and Siddiq should have never been killed off

1. I never cared much for Tyreese, he was always just moping around, I feel like they had to kill off some characters before introducing new ones in Alexandria. I like Aaron but I'll take Beth over Enid any day, Beth was wasted potential for shock value. 2. I think Negan killed Abraham first because he knew he was the biggest threat to him, but it wouldve been awesome to see him fuck shit up in all out war. 3. Yeah, T-Dog's sacrifice was so overshadowed by Lori's death and Judith's birth, it's a shame because he had the potential to do so much more. Axel and Oscar were also cool. Honestly as much as I love season 3, it did introduce a lot of interesting characters that didn't even make it out of the season. 4. I kind of disagree on this, because one of the reasons Gareth and the Terminus storyline was so loved was because it was short and sweet, they didn't spend half a season captured by them and then half a season defeating them, they got captured, escaped, found safety but the Termites came back, and then they finished them off. It's one of the best story arcs but it's short and to the point, but Gareth definitely was an interesting villain that deserved more screentime. 5. Noah I definitely think shouldn't have died, especially since Beth basically died for him. More wasted potential for a shocking death imo. It wouldve been cool to see him for a while longer, as I think hes a show original character. 6. Yep none of these characters shouldve died. Carl's death doesn't even need an explanation, it was just a colossal and unnecessary mistake, Jesus' death was one of my favourites because of how shocking and spooky it was, but it wouldve been more impactful if he wasn't so poorly utilised in season 7 and 8, bringing back Morales just to kill him off was the most dumb and pointless thing they've ever done, don't bring him back at all or actually use him in the plot of the war, and Siddiq was cool and did not need to die, it literally achieved nothing. Dante is a Whisperer and killed Siddiq. Okay? I knew he was a spy from the moment I met him and Gabriel killed him in the next episode, all that PTSD stuff was pointless and everyone's just forgotten him. Carl literally died because of him, I don't understand why they killed him off, it literally achieved nothing in the story and was the weakest part of season 10

I'm glad they ended up keeping Beth around longer & didn't kill her back in the prison with Axel. although I do agree they shouldn't have killed her how they did. I was hoping she'd make it all the way to Alexandria & to at least part of The Savior's war. one character I wish they had done more with was a one off character. Clara would of been interesting to see around longer throughout the series.

I actually would've loved to seen Axel last longer. However, I'm really glad that they didn't make him the Thomas version of the show. Now as much as I liked that twist from the comics, I loved the idea of Axel being a redeemed prisoner even more. So if they really wanted to kill him off, then they should've waited till maybe mid Season 4 finale and have him die at the prison.

Andrea was terribly written in the show and didn’t have the youthfulness that comic Andrea did. So she wouldn’t have been written the same as comic Andrea anyway, at least in the Dale/Andrea relationship. I think the show has better characters than the comics and vice versa. For every Andrea being wasted, there’s comic Shane that is just as disappointing if you watched the show first.

That’s the whole point. Kirkman killed Lori in the comics in order to fuck Rick even more thus Rick turned into the savage that he was in the fourth season and so on. Lori’s actress even argued to Darabont as early as when they were doing the first season that Lori needs to be killed, Darabont told the actress he’s planning to keep the character alive as long as they could.

They weren't on good terms for whatever reason. Rick was in "ricktatorship" mode. Maybe that was the intention, but like the author of this video I never really liked the way characters came and went on this show. Would he have been any different of a character if he at least got to see her when she died? I don't know.
