In this video, I show off 10 things I don't like about my 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. None of the things I listed were too crazy and I absolutely love my car. This car may not look fancy, but it does take me places. That's all it matters and I hope you guys enjoy this video. WATCH UNTIL THE END!

I recently bought a 09 malibu, bought it from an elderly man that only put 46k miles on it. Runs beautifully because he kept up on the maintenance. I am a strong believer that if you take care of your care, it will take care of you.

When my grandpa couldn’t drive anymore I got passed down his 2012 malibu LT. It had 47k miles on it. I love it. Comfortable and smooth ride I’ve ever driven. No issues. I loved my old Honda Accord I had but the engine was toast and I thankfully was able to take the Malibu and I’m very happy with it.

Mostly electrical problems are just fuses my friend had a tire pressure light on and his tires were literally new but he changed it and it turned off

It’s a cheap car and you can get a lot of miles out of it with some pretty cheap maintenance and upkeep. So I’d say it’s a good buy 👍🏾

I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu LS and the one thing that really bugs me about that car is that you have to dismantle the whole front of the car to change the headlights smh

I dont even care if I get hate on this comment. This just proves that the car is really well put together. You bought the car crashed up and with no doors and you achieved it to 160k miles with to me is minor issues. I have a 2011 and I take very good care of it and it still drives like it's new. (106k) Let's just say I drive with a purpose and this car still amazes me despite it being a "garbage GM product". Take care of your cars they will take care of you. Keep in mind I am not talking about Jaguars or vehicles that are for the wealthy and the wealthy can afford it's crazy expenses.

I have a 2009 with 145k, it sounds like routine maintenance or part replacement would solve most of his problems. Also, I was having issues with the trunk switch, I needed to replace the battery in the key fob.

I got all the exact same problems. Except for it locking by itself. I even got the driver side speaker out 🤣 plus the back lights come on and off randomly

My car was doing the same thing with the brake lights and kicking off cruise control, my fix was to pull off the C2 connector, the blue/grey connector on the passenger side fuse area. Smear some di-electric grease on it and plug it back in. works like a dream now. Same connector also caused my thermostat gauge and A/C compressor to stop working, again di-electric grease saved the day.

And it's not overheating it's actually supposed to do that because your setting in the heat sitting still

I have a 2012 malibu Ltz with the V6, last year I was driving it home from work, when the car dropped down from 2nd to 1st gear and wouldn't go past 20 miles an hour, had turn the car off to reset computer in the transmission, so it would begin to shift properly, finally broke down and took it to the dealer and it ended up being a Transmission control module (TCM) ended up costing me $1500 to fix, runs great now.

I have A 2010 ltz my transmission went out on it 2 month after I paid cash 4700!! Cost me 2900 to repair got me super sick 😫 lol what's with these ltz my girl has a lt and her shit runs fine

@@joonsocaliharris9816 I know 3 months after posting this, I started leaking antifreeze from under the car, ended up needing a whole new radiator, both cooling fans and the shroud costing me another $1,5000 and just last month had a check engine light come on, had Onstar run diagnostics on it, came back code po442, which could be caused by a loose or faulty gas cap, replaced the gas cap, but of course that didn't do the trick, took it to the dealer the following week for an oil change had them put it on the computer to find out what it was and it ended up being a Purge Valve Solenoid, costing me $400, I have since emailed the general manager of GM about my disappointment with this car, I actually heard back from them the next day wanting me to send documentation of all the stuff I have had done since last year, so hopefully I can get some of the money back I have put into this car in less than a year so I can hurry up a trade it off for something more reliable.

@@joonsocaliharris9816 yeah man, that actually my second Malibu, my first was a 2007 LT bare bones options with the 2.2 ecotec, that car was flawless, never had any problems out of it just wanted something with more power, that's why I ended up getting the LTZ with the V6, kinda regretting it now.

I found out it’s not the speaker’s it’s the Wires in your doors so take the old ones out put new ones in

This issues w/ your locks can easily be fixed it's wiring issues. However mind some how is now terrible on gas mileage. It wasn't like that at one point. I also use to have problems w/ my front driver tire also. It would always lose air even when they changed the tires around and even getting new tires. No one could ever figure out the problem. Until one day I had to stop by a shop, because a nail had got stuck in my tire. While taking the nail out and fixing the tire they also fixed the problem. I promise you it took less than 10 minutes and that was a problem I had over like a year.

The traction control sucks, 2.4l engine has no power but when the traction control kicks in is like trying to accelerate with the parking brake on, i know it is meant to stop the tires from spinning but it literally stops the whole freaking car

It’s an extremely dangerous vehicle and here’s why: at a 4 way major intersection and T-bonef by an SUV at aproximately 45 miles an hour while almost turned into my lane and almost died!!!!! NO side airbags! NO A/B even deployed!!! Constant issues with stuff! Piece of shit! Frankly I’m thinking all Chevys are poorly manufactured now...never again!! Emergency surgery crushed hand, broken foot in several places, multiple contusions, bruised ribs, hit head, not to mention neck spine etc hospital did NOT x-ray (another traumatic experience) thank GOD I didn’t lose my teeth or life or a limb! UnFRIGGENbelieveable!! Get rid of ASAP!!

transmission was already screwed up before i got it. i know what i was getting myself into. and what i meant was that when i put it to drive , it acts like it’s on neutral, and that was a rare thing to happen by the way. got that problem fixed and the car is working fine. i appreciate the concerns
