All legit points. Ford shouldn't cheap out on the safety. I thought the ventilated seat is only missing on the bronco sport. This is a deal killer for us living in the south. Great video, and I agree on many of those issues (some of which I'll echo in my own top ten below). First, let me say that the top three things I love include the fact that there exists a First Edition model. I've been waiting for a Bronco since the day I heard a rumor that it was coming back, something like four years ago. I was beyond excited when I went to place my reservation on launch day and discovered they had a limited edition trim. Second, that there is an exclusive paint scheme (Lightning Blue) for FEs. And third, that they gave us the option for all black interior for FEs to avoid the Navy Pier. Now, my own top ten worst things (experiences AND features): 10: The initial reservation day website issues. It was a nightmare trying to get onto the Ford website and place my reservation on launch day. The website was so overcrowded with visitors it made everything slow to a crawl and I got error after error. It took me two hours to finally get my reservation placed. 9: Inability to test drive/see in person a Bronco at my dealer until long after the order deadline. Not that I had even a thought of canceling/reconsidering my order, but I would have loved to see one in person before the order deadline. 8: No painted fender flares on the FE. I love that feature on some of the lower trims, but my FE only has the option for MIC flares. 7: The FE badge is just a recolored Badlands badge. Every trim has a unique badge, I wish the FE badge didn't just repeat the Badlands design. And while on the topic of badges, I wish it was a nicer badge than just a flat sticker. 6: No air conditioned seats. 5: No adjustable AC vents for the backseat. 4: No integrated keyless entry number pad like the Bronco Sport has, which looks soooo nice built into one of the door pillars. 3: Lack of DIO accessories. When DIO was first brought up, it sounded amazing. But as time went on, it sounds like there are overall very few items in the DIO catalog; most accessories are going to be options purchased outside of our orders where we'll have to pay full dealer installation fees, etc. Also, on the topic of accessories, I was really looking forward to the bring your own device rail, but news of that seems to have fallen off as well. 2: Black painted modular top delay. I'd almost consider pushing my FE to MY 22 if they'd let me (they won't) just to get it with the glossy black painted modular hard top. It was such a pain to hear that feature was pushed to next year and hopefully I'll still be able to pick one up separately when it becomes available. 1: Doubled FE allocation. I was super bummed to hear that Ford increased the number of FEs from 3.5k to 7k. Now, if the reason they did that was because they accidentally oversold them and if they hadn't increased that number it would mean that -I- was one of the unlucky few that didn't make the first 3.5k cut, then I'm not so upset. lol But if I could have gotten one of the first 3.5k, then yeah I am disappointed they doubled the allocation. Overall, still super excited. I got my build date (July 19th) and VIN and can't wait to get behind the wheel!

My first 4WD was (and is) a Bronco. I had hoped my last one would be as well. After seeing the information available on it, I have my doubts as to whether that will be the case. The original Bronco was a fairly basic vehicle designed to go seriously off road. Given the times in which it was produced, there were not a lot of frills. I realize times have changed and a lot of people like the high-tech extras and if that's what you prefer so be it. I don't view such as being objectively wrong. Personally, though, I prefer things a little simpler. I like a direct mechanical means of engaging the 4WD system as my current Bronco has. To my mind, something of the experience is lost when you simply flip a switch or turn a knob. I'm sick of vehicles with "TV screens" in the dash. I like buttons/knobs, etc which I can use efficiently with minimal, if any need to take my eyes off the road. I want a vehicle out of which I can see clearly in all directions without needing a camera to tell me how to back out. I don't like keyless entries or computerized this-and-that as my only options. I accept that my views on this put me very much in the minority. Still, it's regrettable that Ford chose to cater to one group while ignoring the other. Would it have been so very difficult to offer a simpler model for us few luddites still out there? I have no doubt this is a capable vehicle and that Ford will sell a great many of them. However, they likely will not be selling one to me.

1) It's a carbon copy of the Jeep, with a few Ford tweaks to prevent a lawsuit. Even down to the latches on the hard top. 2) It's only available with EcoBust engines, whereas the Jeep has an I-4 turbo, V6, hybrid, or turbo-diesel. 3) It's IFS which puts huge limitations on modification. 4) It's ugly. 5) The interior is so bland and plasticky that a Polaris RZR makes it look bad. 6) The "7 speed" manual trans is really a 6 speed manual trans because the 1st gear is only usable off road. Same thing Jeep does through the RockTrac t-case. 7) No creature comforts for cold days in the mountains like the Jeep has. Heated steering wheel, etc. 8) No option for a true mud-terrain tire like on the Jeep. 9) It'll take years for the aftermarket to catch up to the level of accessories and parts that are already available for the Jeep. 10) No 392 Hemi.

Carbon copy LOL. No, it’ll leave Jeep scrambling. Available with engines that make more power and torque than the equivalent from Jeep. You’ll see more options later. How many years did it take Jeep to offer something other than a minivan engine? The IFS will be plenty capable and the aftermarket will be there with enough time. Looks are subjective. The interior looks no worse than Jeep’s. Likely more premium materials in the Outer Banks than in any Wrangler. The trans is listed as both a 7-speed and a 6+1. Both are correct because it has 7 forward gears. You absolutely can get heated seats and a heated steering wheel. The tires offered will be more than sufficient. Otherwise there is aftermarket. This is true of every new vehicle compared to an established vehicle and a terrible point. The 392 won’t be enough for the Warthog.

No rear ac is odd to me. Also wonder if you will be able to easily add a sway bar disconnect like you can on jeeps. But I doubt it. Makes the offroad ride much nicer, not just about articulation

Maybe changing the title of this video to say= Here are 10 things "I wish the Bronco included". That sounds more positive being that you are selling these vehicles and there after market parts. If I were a buyer, I'd hear this video and simply choose another type of vehicle. The Price point around 60K there are other options, other than a 15 ft. vehicle with so many faults from the start. It won't tow over 3500lbs, but has a tow hitch which cost over $500.00, that's over pricing. Someone at Ford "Has A.D.H.D. and get's distracted a lot". I want a V8 version with super charger or turbos which would compete with a Hemi Jeep or TRX Truck. Also a large gas tank 32 gallons or more for long distance use in the Overlanding group. This vehicle falls short based on a tiny+ Plastic+ Toy, version of the past Bronco's.

wait so the stabilizer disconnect won’t be available on the wildtrak? that sucks

Here's an unrelated question...if you ordered your Bronco in 2021, and it doesn't get built and delivered until say 22, 23 or 24, what Bronco will you end up with? A 22/23/24 with system updates the newer models would have received. Or will you receive a 21 model without the updates?

4:11 - To your point in the video - I suspect more people wanted the bigger engine and because the bigger engine ONLY came with an automatic the result was cannibalizing manual sales.

Ive been wanting a Broncos since they mentioned that it was coming back but in my opinion they have a long way to go to match the Jeep Wrangler so I think I'll be waiting for the second gen of the new Bronco to come out and hopefully they fix some of these problems

They have everything a jeep has plus some also all you see on the road are jeeps they are a dime a dozen

The lack of rear AC on a 4 door has me looking elsewhere. That's just absurd. My kids shouldn't have to suffer because dad wants a sweet ride.
@Blue_Flame_Raptor3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't worry too much, it's not that large of a vehicle so the front air will get to the rear
@2011blueman3 жыл бұрын
There are AC vents below the front seats that point back toward the back seats, but I'm not sure how much good they'll do beyond providing AC to a dog on the floor.
@nukeim3 жыл бұрын
I'm aware that there are vents in the floor. Not good enough. And air will get to the rear...Eventually. Not good enough. I've been down this road. It needs real AC vents back there.

The door locks it means nothing because you can crawl into the rear seat or cargo area.

You dont need Lane centering and adaptive cruise control for off-roading.

After watching this video Things about the Bronco that Do NOT bother me: -Not having "Stop and GO" for the Adaptive Cruise control. -Not having Lane Centering. -Removable doors and roof. -Stabalizer Disconnect. Things about that Bronco that DO bother me: -No rear AC vents. -Roof seems too low. -The look and functionality of the fender flares. -No V8 option. -Door locks are on the Removable doors. -No AC seats.

Great 👍🏻 job I Hope And I think “Yes “ Ford going to fix in the Next Generation some future options in the new Broncos one of the first I think is the vent AC/ in the 2 road passenger in the 4 doors special !!!!

So aggrevated that they didn't put rear air in the console. I know the wiring and switches for the windows take up some of that space, but I still think there's noon in that area....AND the Wrangler has rear air. I was all set to buy one but this is a must have for me. I have two kids who both play outdoor sports, and when I pick them up from practice they're burning up because it's 100 degrees in Texas in the summer. Not to mention off-roading in the summer.

Wow the Bronco doesnt have Stop and Go adaptive cruise/lane centering? thats kinda a shocker for me who also has a 2020 Explorer. I'm wondering if the radar and/or camera will be expected to be blocked or modified enough where they didnt include it? As I understand it, lane centering and stop and go are both dependent on the camera being decent enough quality. Lane Keeping is a camera but lower quality.

I must be really tired, I swear you are saying vehickow. LoL. Looks like a great vehicle. What color did you order? A friend in Maine was going to get the sport. I told him to wait for this one. Thanks for posting.

I must say I completely agree with these first few points... almost all American vehicles other than like Tesla all make you pay a premium for basic safety features and half of your vehicles just don’t even have some of the safety features that are offered like stock in a $20,000 Camry.

Yeah, the ventilated seats is my biggest complaint I have an upgraded Outer Banks currently on order with my dealer, and it's coming in at a price point of $46k. That's $46k with the cloth interior option to keep me cool. However, had they had a leather with ventilated seats option, I would have easily went with the leather seats. But, here in NorCal we can hit 110-115 in 4 or 5 months of the year... So leather without ventilation is just too hot, and at a $40k - $50k vehicle price that should for sure at least be an option.
