She's adorable! I agree, they're great. I've had my tiger Audrey 2 for about 8 years (and had one for ten years starting a bit before that) and I love his derpy smile and how he follows me around his terrarium. I wish I could find them available more easily.

I have successfully hatched my very 1st baby Leopard Gecko and I have named her Jessica, after your good self x (I am assuming she is a she as I have incubated her at the relevant temperature) x I have been pondering names for a while. I discovered her on her birthday just after having read your reply about Nevilles video. I am SO SO thrilled to bits.....ps if she turns out to be a He I will shorten it to Jesse (James)

I got a tiger salamander 5 days ago but it is also known as the waterdog since it is a baby or larvae. I will post a video about it soon this week because I will have a dedication to my companion animals.

Hello Jessica and Neville 💖🤗, of course I love this video. It features my Miss Neville 🦎💝. It truly must be a joy to have her in your life. 🤣 She definitely is a jumper! That shot of her jumping out of her apartment with that mouth wide open is a hoot🤣🤣. They are the cutest things ever. God definitely had fun creating these guys! How I wish at times I was 30 yrs younger. Like you I would have one of these guys. You look wonderful too. I hope everyone in your family is doing well. We had a scare in ours. My sister and niece were exposed to covid and were under quarantine for two weeks. It was low risk. Both are fine. Although my niece lost two weeks of work. She is a stylist. The person who had it is recovering. Extremely tired and will take time building her strength up. She didn't have to be hospitalized. So that was our excitment. Hey Jessica! I have a question.. I have a salamander, I kept it in a deep 20 gallon aquarium... For so long I'm not sure whether it is an axolotl or tiger salamander, but the more I look into it, I don't think it is an axolotl.. so.. did I just force my tiger salamander to become neotenic 🥺?

I'd love to have a tiger salamander (barred is my favorite) as a pet but where I live they are illegal. Yours is a blotched tiger salamander (Ambystoma mavortium melanostictum), one of the largest terrestrial salamander species and certainly the longest. Pacific Giant Salamander is a similar length but has a shorter tail and larger body so it is larger overall.

Yes they can swim but since they are terrestrial they need a terrarium (plastic is better for humidity) and water dish. Also damp substrate to burrow and hiding places.

Males have a larger cloaca than females. But the females are often fatter.

Camping, I woke up with a Tiger Salamander between my pillow and bag. It's lucky not to get crushed. Way too natural for me, creepy. Your salamander could be in a phone commercial.
