Good overview. Also bought 2 of these a few weeks ago on impulse. The post purchase research is helping affirming that choice. Plan on doing the arduino speed increase and swapping out the crankset to allow for the higher speeds.

Actually got one of these. Tried to pedal it and my god I couldn't even make it up half the block. So I rode it using the throttle n battery and only made it about 5 miles. If I wouldn't have been so excited to try it out I would of read the big huge tag that says inflate the tires to 40lbs as come to find out they were only at 10lbs. After that mishap the ebike is actually easy to pedal, good range for the price, and pretty awesome.

Rear fender is very excited.....bend the bracket down until it hits the tire while mounted. It will spring back to perfect gap. Your apparent exitement level will be much cooler :)

The 3 that I'm doing is better seat, spring suspension seat pole for better ride and the most important to me is another extension battery placed on the rear rack and hooked in parallel to the original battery that doubles the distance.

No 2 the battery indicator, it drops down because of the extra strain on the battery, if you keep pushing the battery you will lose a lot more power, it's a way of warning you of the power consumption, I find it useful.

The lights on the handlebar for the battery show battery life based on your current load. If you full throttle it one light might go off. If you let up slightly it might come back on. It's basically giving you an estimation of your battery's charge based on the effort you want it to do. Lots of ebikes do this 15mph is the max under law. The bike can go a max of 15mph, but can't be allowed to go faster. So you can see why the bike wouldn't top out at 15 under throttle for law reasons. All my bikes use a Puch moped seat designed to use seat posts. In the process of getting one for my Bolt Yeah, the battery setup is not ideal. I'd like the option to be able to swap it out without disassembling it, and would rather not do the "multiple battery upgrade" that leaves one battery strapped to the bike somewhere. I did however get an after market battery that's actually gotten me up to about 12 miles of range and doesn't wimp out when you've run it down a bit

@@Lavenderrose73 Oh yes, there's all sorts of upgrades you can get, including the electronics and wheel wattage. The challenge is getting the right stuff. When you get the cheapest there are those hidden problems that come with it. Especially batteries. Getting the Banggood specials involves risks of fire while charging because they're usually really poorly put together, hence they're really cheap. A good battery will run you just over a hundred bucks and up depending on design

OK let's address the issues to see if we can solve them. The rear light, you can power a rear light off the main battery by connecting to the wire that is in the battery compartment that comes off the controller, you can but a light made for these small bikes, but I wouldn't as it's just another drain on the battery.

Just do a speed hack and you can get them up to 19 maximum if u code it but no more then 19 mph because that's all the motor can push out

it goes 13-14 mph with only throttle but can go 15-17 with pedal assist on flat ground. Mine went 21 on a steep hill

I just subscribed to your channel because your video is informative and i love your sense of humor. I don't even own the Jetson Bolt Pro. One of my e-bikes is the Ienyrid B2 e-bike which looks like the Jetson Bolt Pro but is faster. With pedal assist i can go 18mph and throttle 27mph. I never throttle faster than 20 mph only when i am trying to get away from dogs. Have fun everyone .. Stay safe...

No5 yes the seat is uncomfortable, but go to the dollar store and get a seat cover, that's what I did and it has improved it but a big margin, not perfect but a lot better, and only 1 pound.

I had a new seat and post before my bike arrived. (Velo plush) I'm gonna convert to a different speed controller that I have left over from a previous 36 volt bike. It has an offroad setting. Faster than the 19 mph limit.

My more expensive e bike also has a 350 watt, 36 volt motor and weighs a lot more, so power wise, it's not bad. Big problem is small battery, since most riders I see using it, don't pedal at all.

No3 the speed, it might be because of the brakes rubbing slightly, you may not even notice it, except for the speed, or it maybe one of the wheels maybe over tightened causing resistance on the bearings.

No7 extra costs, buy from the dollar store except the lock, lights 1 dollar, seat cover 1 dollar bike pump 1 dollar, and as many bits as you can find for 1 dollar, your bile won't mind and the lights are normally good, not great but good and cheap enough to fit more than 1 of any item. Oh and Box, just use a rucksack.

No10 battery upgrade, put a rack on the back and stick another bike battery on it, I wired my battery in parallel so far it gives me nearly 30 miles on a single charge and I don't hang around and I'm no light weight. But my one is a 48v with a 350 watt motor.

Know if you upgraded it goes about 29 you're just adding 19 miles speed onto it the 15 mph my Jetson does the same exact thing with the lights it's because you're using the throttle too much use your pedals more or use the cruise control that will stop going from four lights to three lights it's cuz you're using the throttle

Not worth it. Please spend about $2000 & get an E-bike that goes faster, way longer range & racks so you can put bags on it. Also very important that you can take the seat off & bring that with you when you lock your electric Bike. I bought this thinking it would go fast last a long range this & that. This is only good for going around a few blocks & things that are really close to you. Other than that if you want to go to work, said friends houses or grocery shopping, this bike isn't good for that.

Or upgrade the battery I can find a battery out there that has 20 amp hours also a battery that has 40 amp hours which gives you 60 amp hours on your jetson bolt Pro and they're on Amazon one's a universal supports up to it 36 volt up to a thousand volt motor they want $500 for it guarantee your upgrade your battery in that thing take that piece of s*** stock battery out of it and that those lights will stop doing that too you don't have to upgrade it just upgrade the battery
