I’ve been running 7 days a week for the past 23 years, and am up to 62 full marathons. I relate to Eliud so much with all of these things. Especially his philosophy. I’m not naturally suited to be a runner genetically. Probably better for me to be a wrestler or football player. But I don’t care. I like running, and always want to do it anyway, and keep improving. I also believe that nothing is impossible if you just keep trying and set your mind to it. I’ve been trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon now for all 23 years I’ve been running, and still haven’t gotten it. But I absolutely will eventually. I’ve come within just 3 minutes of it a few times. And when I do it will be even more meaningful than ever. There are times that I just wish that I had the raw talent that some elites have. But then some of these thing likely would be as special when I achieve them. So I just keep going. 🏃🏻♂️

Wow! I just saw a video of this legend today and I’m extremely amazed. What an inspiration! I could listen to him speak all day.

Mostly 6 hours?? Wow, I wonder how many naps he takes in between workouts. Living legend! EK will go down as the best runner that's ever touched the earth. How can anyone dislike him?!

We need more EK… Nike has so many great athletes, but we need more of him.
