When driving a vehicle and in third person view, you can select which side of the vehicle you want to exit. If you hold down on the right analog and exit, you'll come out of the rear of the vehicle. If you hold up and exit, you'll come out in front of the vehicle. Pretty useful tbh.

Hunter Rice Come on, man. "If it took more than one shot, you weren't using a Jakobs." Of course you'll need to reload, but it's strong and has a decent range for a sidearm. The implication being that if you are a decent shot, you can take out all your enemies and then head home because you're done. Don't look too deeply into it.

Another useful tip; When using the field cannon, leave the cannon while reloading. Hit "reload", and leave the cannon and wait for a sound indicating it has reloaded and return back.

When piloting a plane you can actually land it and take no damage. Has to be on flat ground with clean space though. Very useful if you want to get out of a dogfight or repair your plane quicker.

The trench shotgun thing makes sense since it was like that in real life. If you held down the trigger and just pumped, the shotgun would be able to rapid fire. It was so effective that Germany actually tried going to the Geneva conventions to get it banned

0:33 I actually have one of those, mine's a model 1897 Winchester 16 gauge shotgun which was made in the early part of 1910. How slam fire works is you hold the trigger and every time you pump the shotgun it pushes back the pushes back the hammer and when you push the pump forward the trigger is already pulled and it discharges. It's not fully automatic it all depends on how fast you can pump it. On 0:45, you see that little button just above his thumb every time he loads a shell, that button is an unloading mechanism that releases a spring in the compartment that holds the shells and can spit/unload 7 shells in about 1 seconds. It's also 1 of the rare shotguns with an external barrel so unlike modern shotguns, if you cock the hammer and want to release it without the hammer flying forward and hitting the firing pin, you can just use your finger and slowly release the hammer as to not cause any dry fire damage.

Great video T-bag. I can actually explain why the M97 Trench gun slamfires too, the gun always lacked a trigger disconnector, which is a part of the internals that stops the gun from being able to fire until you release the trigger AFTER pumping it again. It's combined with a second sear (the part that lowers to let the firing pin forward.) That's what allows the hammer to strike as soon as the action was operated if the trigger was still depressed.

I figured all of these out myself, except for the tanks uphill (learned last week) and the spot flare infiltrator tip. The trench gun "slam fire" is historically correct, and I was eager to see if it was! You can also see this in the weapon select menu (and also for the Gasser) as it shown the single fire and full auto icons next to them.

The trench gun is not automatic, just because you keep your trigger pressed on the controller and it keeps going doesn’t mean it’s automatic. An automatic weapon uses the recoil of a previously fired round to push back the bolt and chambers a new round and thus fire again. This happens repeatedly when the trigger remains depressed

I have about 900 hours in BF1 and even I learned something in this video. BTW to use the horn on the destroyer you need to be in 3rd person view & and have the artillery strike selected. You can only call the strike in person so when in third person you use the horn for the destroyer.

I am a firearm's nerd. And I can prove it. 1) Slamfire is not fully auto :) but I get what is meant by that. 2) The revolver is being "fanned" and that is why you can't do it when ADS. It is a single action revolver and you can do that with all of them in real life. 3) It makes me cringe when I hear the word "clip." Even though that is the correct terminology here lol. Anyway. Cool vid.

So one thing I figured out that bf1 doesn't make clear is. In the bomber plane one of the gadgets ( left or right d pad not sure which one) looks like an eyeball. If you try to trigger it in chase cam or fist person it will do nothing. However if you get in first person an hold aim which looks down throw the scope and trigger the eyeball it is an instant spot for anything within view. Similar to the spotting lamp on that French tank

Correction the gasser is what’s a called a single action revolver , every time he shoots he needs to pull the hammer back , there is a double action recover which would still only be semi auto in the medic class there isn’t a revolver in the world that is full auto

I only realised a couple of days ago that you can selfrepair a vehicle because you have an repair tool equiped, not just because you spwan in as a pilot/tanker. So i equiped it as a support and stole a tank and guess what, i could selfrepair the tank and keep it alive for a really long time.
