After you hit a certain point you're no longer looking for loot, you have better gear by the time you start actually finding high level armor and weapons, wether you forged it or its quest stuff you already have. The enchanted items are truthfully kinda lame. Oblivion had unique enchantments that gave you a mix of buffs and weaknesses. Id like to see something like that again

It worked. Bethesda lowered people's standards and expectations significantly. I honestly want a lot more from tes6.

1. Back to the Roots and reimplement classes, new and old skills like, spear, athletics(which also provides the ability to climb obstacles then). 2. More Refined Crafting System to make truly unique items, new enchantments like they be added in Skyrim by mods, alchemy should also be reworked a bit 3. Perks gives abilities and certain attacks 4. the thing is what Skyrim really misses are combo and special attacks, counters and evasion attacks, not that dumb power attack/stagger/bashing/block system 5. Reimplement true RPG elements like more decisions, skill/levelchecks for dialogue and ways to interact with the world 6 Return of attributes which is necessary because the system in Skyrim was too simplified even for casual players, gives more depth again in character creation and possible min/maxing for rpg or challenge purposes 7 Enemies should have limb damage applied to them and combat could have much more variety how they react to and attack the player 8 Real bossfights 9 Races and Option should be drastic overhauled so hybrids could be possible like an Imperial with elvish feats for example(no not for the farmtools from blackmarsh and elsweyr)

10 More interactive world and NPC’s, impactful decisions 11 Housing and building reworked 12 other ways to travel like on boat that you can sail 13 a real War, not the pitiful one like in Skyrim where even destroyed buildings aren’t even repaired after the civil war ends That’s what’s TES6 needs to be way better than Skyrim and may be one of the best games of all the time

My hope is that with so many AI tools these days, Bethesda could hire more voice actors, have them spend just a few hours recording lines, then pay them for the voice sampling as a normal VA contract while the AI can do most of the voice work with the VA providing corrected inflections. It would both increase the potential of more complex conversations and story while taking less time and keeping actors employed. But that's me being optimistic that corporations will use these tools ethically and effectively.

I think that different play styles should play different in combat. For example, melee style fighters being able to specialise properly in different weapons and unlocking truly unique abilities with a pole arm or mace, rather than just the same stuff rehashed for each weapon set. Mages that can cast different spells in real time without having to pause or scroll endlessly through favourites. Sure, keep that function for those who prefer it but at least give people the option to enjoy combat in real time. For rogue classes, being able to scale walls, hamstring/hobble enemies and knock them out from behind would be nice. I also think that some of these abilities should only be unlocked through doing guild quests. For instance, at a certain point in the thieves guild quest line you should learn how to pick locks, so it isn't a skill that is inherent to everyone from the off. Perhaps later on you can get a grappling hook to scale walls and a crossbow with rope to be able to zip over walls and stay hidden more easily. In the fighting guild, you could be taught about different fighting stances or learn new techniques. The mages guild should zealously guard their secrets so there are plenty of spells that can only be learned by joining them. I would also put a limit on the number of guilds you can be a member of in each playthrough so it kind of enforces a cross-class restriction without being too gamified. In fact I would veer away from the skill tree type levelling and perk structure and just have skills level and become more powerful the more you use them. Perks should be earned by completing quests for people or paying instructors. I also think your main character stats should have some bearing on what you can and can't learn too. If you have low dexterity, certain dagger/short sword techniques should be barred from you; lack strength and you become over encumbered when wearing heavy armour and can't draw a long bow or wield a greatsword. In my mind, Skyrim has lots of choice but few consequences. Your choices should always have some impact whether that is restricting access to other quest lines or your ability to trade with certain people. That creates a more engaging environment imo.

Daggerfall size map and character creation should be the base. Like as Todd Howard originally envisioned daggerfall with modern softwares. We COULD play a legendary hero of Tamriel ripped straight out of the mythic tales of old OR a dirt poor farmer looking to expand his communities’ horizons against corrupt monopolies like the black briars

These companies aren't in the business of evolving. They are in the business of consolidating. Each iteration has no choice but to be carved from the previous. Otherwise they can't justify the financial risk in court. Which is pretty much the only stumbling block for all AAA studios. They get trapped in the business model by their own success. Unfortunately for us gamers this means consistent reductions in quality and ultimately conglomerate absorption being the only result of any successful studio. The permanent growth model doesn't actually work. And since they have a permanent fiduciary responsibility to make it work despite reality's stubborn influence... there's only one result we should expect. Less, organized to appear like more.

Weaponry! Theres jist bow, xbow, dagger, swird, axe mace. Two handed variants. Staffs but they suck Give us spears, pikes, good staffs, flails, different style of sword with different speeds, animations each. Also, show us a visual detail in our perks. Unlock s.ooth sword play when upgrading your one-two handed swords. Bastard sword that can be used with one hand or two, with smooth transitions

All they need to do is just put the top 100 endorsed mods from the nexus into the game. Ordinator, Hunterborn, etc… make a damn rpg. Give the players back the freedom to experiment with the game like it was in Morrowind, fun quests like Oblivion, and awesome dungeons/land like Skyrim.

At this point who has the confidence to believe that Bethesda will not botch Elder Scrolls 6? They've gone one direction (downhill) since Skyrim. Fallout 4 was at least OK but not so much with Fallout 76. The biggest indication that they're nowhere near the right direction is their attitude about Starfield. Rather than take criticism into account and improve it they doubled down and told players the game is awesome in spite of the players' own experiences.

5:28 That sadly is coping at its worst. If you look at Fallout 4 and Starfield NPC. Nothing changed in a decade with AI in their engine.... Like most ppl I'm betting on a skyrim with the starfield version of the engine. Wich is a low bar but bethesda's games are getting less and less complete.

They need to do a lot of things, and frankly, i dont see it happening. They need to give more voices to the "generic" NPCs. Skyrim feels like theres only 5 VAs in the whole game and is completely immersion breaking. They need to cap more stats and skill levels. The way crafting is in skyrim is completely broken and easily exploitative. They've shown that they know this. Armor is capped at 542 magic resist is 80% pickpocket is 90%.... Making spells cost 0 is fking ignorant and investing perks in those trees pointless and a waste. Difficulty slider should increase enemies' AI, not make them sponges. I hit someone with an arrow on legendary they should ALWAYS be on alert, not go. "Must've been the wind." Difficulty slider should be a permanent choice at the start to prevent exploiting. Bethesdas level scaling is abysmal. Only bandit chiefs get armor and weapon upgrades from steel to notdic, making any bandit fight a waste of time and resources. There needs to be a potion AND poison resist build-up (similar to witcher 3), so you can't just spam an enemy with paralysis poison, or you can't drink 100 pots of health with 0 side effects. They need to come out of the gate with multiple starts. Not starting you off as a prisoner like every other Elder Scrolls game. Let the player choose the "guild" they want to start/begin with as an initate. Let the PC hear a rumor or something generic to get them into the main story. The leveling system needs reworked completely. Have enemies and quests give exp or give us an option to earn perk points. The mod to convert dragon souls into perk points should've been in skyrim by default imo. Level scaled quest rewards need to be removed from the game entirely. All this does is incentive you to "not play" the game until a certain level. I could keep going, but i have absolutely no hope and / or expectations for ES6. Bethesda has done nothing but proven they will do the absolute bare minimum and sell it for a premium. Anyone expecting anything different is ignorant and naive.

The Difficulty slider should always be a choice in case someone changes they're mind later and why should there be side effects to drinking the amount of health you need? Other than that everything else seems reasonable.
@I3loodcrazy
@I3loodcrazy 4 сағат бұрын
@KDB349 The slider needs to be a permanent choice from the start, so it doesn't just make the enemies damage sponges and make the PC weaker. That doesn't make a game "hard" it just makes it tedious. There are no "out plays" to be made when you are 1 or 2 shot by every enemy, but they need to be hit 20+ times. The combat itself isn't "deep" enough for that to be a thing. The slider affecting the enemy AI instead is the overall better choice, and with that, it would need to be a permanent choice and can't be changed on the fly. As for the potions, it trivializes EVERYTHING when you can pause the game mid fight and just chug 100 potions with no consequences. The same could be said with poisons use a paralysis poison, hit enemy until starting to recover from paralysis, reapply paralysis resume hitting enemy repeat until enemy is dead. You could also eat vegetable soup and keep an enemy permanently stun locked and double power attacking until the enemy is dead. All these things affect each other and need to be corrected. Just playing the game should not be an exploit on its own.

unfortunately for TES6, ESO set the bar impossibly high. the fact that has multiple voices for each race, in-depth character customization, the ability to block with dual-wield, a real sense of progression beyond finding better gear and stronger enemies, etc. but when it comes to the guilds, you just can't do any worse than skyrim. dark brotherhood felt like a bunch of weirdos in an after school club. thieves guild felt like a wannabe mafia. fighers and mages guilds didn't even exist, replaced by store-brand versions of them.
@KDB349

"Dark brotherhood felt like a bunch of weirdos" Which is exactly what a group of assassins are. A bunch of lunatics. "Thieves guild felt like a wannabe Mafia" I mean, again, is that not what thieves are?
@penguinmaster7
@penguinmaster7 7 сағат бұрын
@@KDB349 compare those guilds to their counterparts in oblivion. Dark brotherhood felt more cult-like. their immediate acceptance of you (minus M'raj-Dar), calling you "brother/sister", their eerily gentle tone, THAT is the way the Dark Brotherhood should be. in Skyrim, they come off as high schoolers who murder as a side activity. in terms of lore, they are NOT true Dark Brotherhood. The thieves guild shouldn't feel like a mafia. you're supposed to be stealing things, not roughing up citizens for money. You essentially play the part of a mook sent out to threaten people. in fact, you almost never get to steal anything in Skyrim. Again, Oblivion did this way better. Most of the quests you got revolved around stealing something. the beggars served as a network of informants, and seemingly innocent NPCs would end up being guild members like fences. To rank up within the guild, you had to complete special jobs, which you only got after fencing a certain amount, meaning you actually had to STEAL in order to get anywhere. go figure, you have to be a thief to succeed in a group of thieves. the fact that the guild caps off with you stealing an elder scroll is the icing on the cake, giving the quest an extremely satisfying heist to wrap things up before you become the guild leader. so, no. the guilds in skyrim are NOT proper representations of what they are supposed to be.

Better melee combat (think Chivalry II), no woke nonsense like Starfield has, better magic and skill unlocks more akin to Oblivion, and simple 2-4 player co op and maybe even a PvP arena (kind of like ES Blades has).

I don't want player co-op, reason why is I do not want the game to be tied to a damn server, if any of you been paying attention to the news when it comes to games that are tied to damn servers, you would understand my position. Maybe they should release it as an alternate DLC, so players who want it they can download it and pay for that nonsense, but for the players who don't want that s***, they won't download that s*** and they aren't subjected to that either.
