the best thing with "surprise visits" in reality tv is when they film it from inside the door xD
@Dargonhuman5 жыл бұрын
Yes! I can't stand reality TV, but my roommate loves it, so every time that happens on one of her shows I have to say, "Well, good thing they were already filming another episode to catch that." Then again, I do that with porn too; whenever it's supposed to be "real" or "raw" or "POV" but then the camera starts moving or there's a cut to a more artistic angle I'm like, "Wait, hold up..."
@lisalangille20715 жыл бұрын
Ghost87 - I’ve ALWAYS said that too! How is it a surprise when there’s a camera filming from inside the damn room/house?!!?? Yet, everyone denies what I say when it happens!! 🙄 good grief!!
@lisalangille20715 жыл бұрын
I remember when there was a contestant on the bachelor, when she was 1 of the last 3, so the bachelor was “filming in her home for hometown dates” She was filmed in a lavish home with 3 brothers, yadda, yadda.Etc..I figured it was fake, of course, but never really had “proof”. One day a couple of seasons later, on some other show like duck dynasty or something, they came across that bachelorette at her REAL home! She was selling deep fried pickles & deep fried gator meat! I was shocked, not because it was fake, but because she was a memorable contestant and thought no one would recognize her! LMAO! 🤣🤣

I don't understand the faking of house hunters. Why not film actual people looking to actually buy a house. My mother has been skeptical of this show for awhile now
@shadowscall77585 жыл бұрын
Because you are NEVER going to get actual people looking for a house with their genuine reactions. As soon as someone knows a camera is on them, they change. It is unavoidable and to try and convince yourself otherwise is naive.
@TimothyTranEnjoysLife4 жыл бұрын
Because you can't guarantee that if you film someone looking to buy a house that they end up getting a house. Imagine having a film crew follow a family looking for a home and the result is that they 1) decide they don't like anything available on the market or 2) run into problems financially and can't afford a home or 3) any other reason for not being able to buy a home. Then the show will have wasted time and money.

Sad to me people watch these types of shows believing it. My sister in law watched storage wars for like a year and I finally watched one to see what it was and omg. Fake like every show they call reality tv. Same 3 people, always win and always find an expensive or rare item in it 🤢🤢🤦♂️🙄 once you watch a few episodes of any of these shows you start to see the pattern and realize it's fake. Might as well watch Jerry Springer. Fake but at least it was entertaining and something new each episode
@denise70013 жыл бұрын
@@TimothyTranEnjoysLife nailed it. If escrow falls through, or undecided buyer never decides when looking you have no show neatly bow-tied with the ending “update” scene. She is not mispronouncing it really for the word derives from a Greek compound word υπερβολή see υπερ-βολη. See compound word, when you pronounce it hy-per-bo-le is how your pronouncing it, but this ignores the word is from Greek and hyper-bole though in Greek it is Uper-voli... See modern English is influenced by an older Greek than modern Greek though, but compound words are not split up into many syllables. I mean like the name Richard a Latin person pronounces it Ri-chard, while the name is Germanic so a compound name Ric-hard or Rik-hard like RikR HarthR or HartR, or Reichhart. Then English people mispronounce eagle it is eag-le (aig-le) derived from Norman French which derives from Latin for Aqui-la, see do you pronounce eagle as eagull as like seagull?

All the prices were completely insane and it made me wonder why they would post fake costs for all of these things? I looked up the same model toilet they had and it was $1,800.. Why would they allow the final edit to contain completely false prices on everything? It makes absolutely no sense.

He also used a disgusting photoshopped picture of a naked woman with the features of a pig, on her hands and knees with breasts to describe her. Even our PM had a go at him, rightfully so, how disgusting! Sick individual. He's unstable to say the least. "Ramsay told an audience (at a food and wine show in Melbourne) of several thousand people that Grimshaw was "a lesbian", the Sunday Herald Sun reports. When the crowd reacted with gasps, he said: "What? I'm not saying she's a ..." The phrase that Ramsay used was a highly derogatory term often used to describe lesbians. Ramsay also showed a picture of a woman - who appeared to be naked - on her hands and knees with the features of a pig and multiple breasts. "That's Tracy Grimshaw," he told the audience. "I had an interview with her yesterday - holy crap. "She needs to see Simon Cowell's Botox doctor." Ramsay - who later dismissed the comments as a joke - went on with more innuendos about Grimshaw's sexual preference and activities. "

Also that's not even remotely close to how you say egregious. This is horrible content.

"Hyperbole" isn't "hyper-bowl"...its "hyper-bo-lee" and "Egregious" isn't "e-greg-ri-us"...its "e-gree-jus" Not trying to come off as condescending, just hope this helps.

The title of the video is interesting, proof that reality TV is fake. I mean it's a bit a like giving a proof for the sky being blue.

I don't know about Mike and Frank but I've been to Danielles vintage store in Iowa (I don't believe the store still there) but it was right by the American Pickers shop. Danielle was actually at the store when I was there and was super nice and helped my try on cowboy boots. She was really down to earth and when I couldn't find any boots that fit she told me that she was going to be going on a trip down south to look for more vintage clothing/boots for the shop so hopefully they would have more in stock soon. She also took my number and told me that she would give me a call if she found any boots that she thought would fit me (I have very large calves). Point being I believe she really does have a passion for picking. Also it's was no secret that she did burlesque as she sold Danielle Diesel merch at her shop.

So a show is "SO FAKE" because the people involved are asked leading questions? I get if the response if filmed multiple times, but you failed to show anything about Kitchen Nightmares that made it fake or manufactured in anyway. Overbooking a restaurant? Sure, a dick move, but it puts the staff to the test. It doesn't make the show "SO FAKE"

Good Grief you guys are boring me with the incessant comments regarding the narrators pronunciation of words. Yeah, she floundered on a few of them, but does it take over 100 comments to point this out? Geez! You watched an entire video, but THAT was the only thing that stuck? How simple your minds must be. With that said, the House Hunters thing really surprised me. It makes the ENTIRE show a lie. I used to love that show, and learned so much from it. No when I see that it's on, I'll be thinking, "these people already have a house."

I’m sorry but am I the only person who is not surprised by ANY of this.i actually happen to have taken classes in Seattle with a girl whose family’s Greek restaurant was featured on Kitchen Nightmares, I was the only person who recognized her out of like 10 and she was so cool about it, and she said Gordon was lovely but it’s not as staged as this video makes it seem according to her and her restaurant was pretty bad. Also, I can’t be the only one who is disturbed by the narrators egregious mispronouncing Egregious. Haha the second G is said like a J not a G.

Im kinda confused about the house hunter part claiming to be fake... my grandma is friends with one of the people who were in house hunters. I even met her myself! She was in the Montana episode. Her name is Kellie and I talked to her about it at her store in Whitefish a few years ago. She never said it was fake. The way she talked about it didnt make it seem like it was anyway. Here a link to the episode that Kellie is in. www.hgtv.com/videos/a-cozy-home-in-montana-0166755
