10 Things to Declutter Before a Move

We have just moved and we are therefore sharing with you 10 things to declutter before a move.
Now, before you say "well, I'm not moving" and click on another video, then it might be nice to know that these aren't just 10 things to declutter before a move, they are 10 things that you can probably stand to get rid of at any time, but things you definitely shouldn't take with you when you move.

Haha. It went great! Well... the moving truck canceled 30 minutes before the move and we found out when half our stuff was on the sidewalk... That wasn't so fun... But 20 minutes after when we miraculously had found another moving company things went great.

Good ideas. My youngest daughter (16) and I have been going to thrift stores every week. This week, I’m sure you will both groan loudly, we bought a GIANT tote of small toys like matchbox cars, Happy Meal toys, etc. There were 15 gallon-bags filled. Sigh. It was fun looking through them all, but now what!! I guess pick out the things that bring us joy and donate the rest back.

Hahaha, Cyndi! Actually, we rented a summerhouse this week and found a bunch of OLD board games from when I was a kid. They were super fun to play with the kids (once) but not something I would want to own and bring into my home permanently. It can be SO much fun finding new cute toys, but I'm curious as to how many you actually end up still using and finding fun in a couple of weeks. Let us know!?

Thank you so much! We're not moving streight into our new home so I don't think you will get the video you are looking for this Thursday... Haha. But we are excited to start filming and getting stuff sorted in our new home. Any area you are more excited about seeing?

This is really helpful right now, I've ordered a skip for tomorrow to get rid of rubbish. Still feeling quite overwhelmed though. Hope your move goes ok 😊

@@RealOrganized aww, thank you, I certainly don't feel amazing! I have a permanent disability from a back operation going wrong, the house has got so cluttered so we are going to get rid of anything we can't recycle (UK still has all charity shops closed due to lockdown, hopefully opening again soon 🤞). Thanks for the inspiration to get things started ☺️

I'm so sorry Samantha. I've had a couple of slipped disk surgeries myself (luckily non of them went poorly). But I know it can be super hard keeping a home when you aren't feeling good. During the months of horrible backpain leading up to and following the surgeries and rehabilitation our home didn't look its best. We accepted that and did what we could to the "low hanging fruits" and tried to set up systems so that things got less messy (easier said than done with two little ones running around). :) You are doing something and that's so impressive. Keep it up!
