Anderson County has over 208,000 people and they ALL shop (you guessed it) in the city of Anderson with a 28,000 population. That's not all, people come in from other counties as well as Georgia to shop. This city has POOR traffic planning, one main street holds an enormous amount of traffic. This could be fixed very easily, but the city council is living in the past.

yeah I just moved here because I thought it was a small town. well the traffic is as bad as Portland Oregon where I moved from. horrible traffic all the time. lots of areas that are no go due to high crime. I am seriously regretting moving here. making 30k less a year housing is cheaper but other than that everything costs just as much. I lived in a very safe suburb of Portland and I feel like I'm moving my wife and daughters into a less safe environment.

“Poor traffic planning” because we were a small town and everything was running smoothly until all yall moved here. Our town is not built to have all these people.

@@itsabrandnewday1072I guess I'm guilty as well, but I've also been here nearly 10 years. I do my best to contribute to the development of the city (including participating in shock this block for the city's master plan, some of my ideas did make the cut)

Thank you for the informative video. How is the health care? Do you happen to know if there are primary doctors who are accepting new patients. Do you feel there are enough grocery stores? What is your biggest job market openings? I have two grown sons, one in construction and the other in law enforcement. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

this dude is totally sugar coating anderson and he is ignoring the truth of anderson he is telling truth but only a small part of the truth, anderson has a huge division of people there are alot of poor people poverty is abounding and then there is the richer folks that live in there neighborhoods now the city is a small peice of anderson but you will need to go outside of city for most of what you will need to do. the crime rates are high, there is a really bad rise in gang and gang related crimes with mill hills and apartment complexes around anderson city and county that are just overrun with gang violence and the law enforcement here is totally out of control with an innocent citizen getting killed due to wreckless cops about 3 times a year or more, if you have a gun and the police are called out to your lovcation if they think you have a gun they will shoot you dead and the local news agenvcies will not tell anything factual about you, they will make you out to be a criminally insane person on a rampage and the officers did no wrong type of thing. i know just a month ago a woman was driving and was trying to turn onto 28bypass which is a major high traffic road in anderson right by the walmart the woman minding her own business was killed by an officer who was driving way to fast to a call during midayt rush hour traffic he t boned the woman and she was flown via helicopter to the hospital where she died soon after. the officer was fired but nothing else has been done about it. another innocent woman was killed because offiucers chasing a man decided to deploy spike stris on the ropad in front of her home, she was cghecking her mailbox when officer threw spike strips the man they were chasing swirved to avpoid the spikes and barreled right into the poor woman, the man crashed into he and another mans truck poarked in his yarde it burst inbto flames killing the man theyt were chasing and the womanm cghecking her mail, all because trhe man had an improper tag or something like that. nothing was done the cops still outr here puting our lives at risk. anderson is dead if you want food after 8pm other than waffle house, the schools are terrible and there have been 2 active shooter incidents at local factory work places electrolux and a warehoiuse both resulted in severe injuries and deaths . i advise you tpo lkook beyond this morons narrow pooint of view

I live around Anderson & it is hard to find anything decent around the area. Especially good eating establishments. Sulivans is a bit better but there is a severe lack of high class eating establishments & most of the restaurants you wouldn't let a dog eat in. Glad you love it. Plus no real decent night life. Go to a state where they aren't 90 years behind the times. Anderson SC is a total joke in my opinion.
