Most jobs interfacing with public require some level of bilingualism (French and English) in Montreal. Certain professions such as Professional Engineer, Registered Nurse, Medical Doctor, and Lawyers require passing a French language test for licensure in the province of Quebec. As result, many had to move out of Quebec to pursue their careers.

as for an Engineer, it does matter what school you went to it even matters what school you went to if you attended a Canadian University. You also have to take the exams to become a Professional Engineer the same as Architects.

I like the video, but regarding proving financial stability, the gov of canada is actually quite transparent on the amount of money you need to have to approve your application. It is called the settlement funds, they have it specified, and you just need to provide bank statements proving that you've had this fund for at least 6 months, this is all.

Couple of points on healthcare. In the States it is becoming the same as Canada in the funneling of patients through the GP. Here in Nevada, no way can you see a specialist without a referral. Waiting times at the local GP can be long. But so too here at clinics. However, there are one year waiting times for some specific surgeons. But those are the big name surgeons. Whereas, there are many, less celebrated, but probably equally gifted surgeons available within days or weeks. Try and get knee surgery by the same doctor that does the L.A. Rams. That'll be 2yrs. I know, I tried. I'm a Dual-Citizen for 50+ yrs.
@countroshculla2 жыл бұрын
I do think that Canada should do something about the long waits to see some specialists. Some say it is bad, some say it isn't. I dunno but maybe they can find a suitable remedy for it.

People in Europe and in my country (Portugal) usually call the United States just ''America''. It's not because we don't know geography, it's because it's a shorter way to say ''United States of America'' when you don't have an abreviation like ''USA'' in some languages like the one that is used when speaking english. But we know that America is a continent divided in North and South America, the USA is a country and Canada is another country ahah. For a couple of years now I've been considering moving to Canada (preferably) or the netherlands or the UK. I'm a bit tired of my own country, our politics, our lack of development, lack of liberalism and lack of money in general ahah.

That is a weird way to look at it call the USA America for me that's confusing what about Central America what about South America that's why I have a problem with people using America because there's three Americas on this side of the globe

As a guy who has friends in Canada and 1 Crazy ass Ex there. I mean I like Vancouver, But it's Extremely Expensive. I would move there tbh, but it would be very difficult and there's a chance I might be a target. I thought of moving to New Zealand for a while. I liked someone who lived in Vancouver, but she is originally from Toronto. I myself, Also moved from the east. I might be an American, but I was born and Raised in Atlanta, GA and moved to Los Angeles, CA. Strange, Now I am being bashed and being treated like a PRISONER because I can't visit my Love interest. It's really sad too, My Ex is Exacerbating this situation because she's super jealous.... I knew someone who is from the USA but moved there Successfully and like you have dual Citizenship. She also sells houses, but that's all I am allowed to say. I can't reveal anything else; I've sworn on her behalf that I won't reveal more than this secret... Funny, because People are moving out of Vancouver because of high jacked up prices with housing. In Los Angeles it's the same situation, People are moving out left and right, LOL! But Congrats on your stay... I can't say much; but I did go to Vancouver for 3 weeks! Just avoid a skinny Brunette Lady who probably go apeshit if she found out me telling you this! She lives pretty far... Also in the other side of the City where some folks moved up there because regular Vancouver is pricey! I can also Speak some French.... My Linguistic Skills might need to work on more!
