I've said it before, your personalities are the main reason I started following the channel. The love of guitar and music in general led me here, the two of you have kept me here. Congrats on 10 years of RNA!

Thanks so much! If you're traveling a good ways, shoot us an email and let us know when you're coming in. We are closed on Saturdays, but sometimes I can come in if I know someone is traveling quite a ways to stop by and say hi!

Congratulations on your anniversary celebrating the store opening. My question is,What are some big changes you want to do to the store this year. My second question is, is there anything new and exciting you want to add to the store this year.

What is a reasonable amount to spend on inventory initially? then, what would be the 5 and 10 year goals with how much is invested in inventory?

I’m looking at opening a store in my town, which will be be the only music store within three surrounding counties. What are some dealers or whole sellers you would recommend for equipment. We are looking at eventually doing a full range from winds and brass to guitars and basses.

Just saw your how to open a music store videos and they answered my question perfectly! Thank you for what you do!

@@jameswiggins6775 Awesome! Glad it helped! Still suggest Daddario and their family of products which includes Promark Sticks Evans drum heads and rico reeds....Biggest issue right now is just getting product because everything is back ordered. When it comes to guitars, focus on Acoustics first, electric second. Acoustics outsell electric by quite a bit still to this day

What do you guys think about a single instrument shop ? I'm talking specifically ukulele which is becoming more and more popular in the UK where I'm from. I'm still a beginner in terms of playing but have dreamed of relocating to the coast and starting a business for years, just never knew what kind of business until I started learning uke. So do you guys think a ukulele only store and online retailer could be successful or would it be too niche compared to a full music store ?

The best way to budget for me is to Pay myself every week and the rest goes into the kitty. Its easy to just use your debt card everywhere but I find if I have the cash in my pocket i know what i can spend. Then i have an ebay account that allows me to make money for the toys. I do also live by the "It always works out" and i dont stress about money.

GREAT advice, and can apply to life as well. I WISH I had lessons with how you both help and teach kids. I had to depend on school band and choir to start my own garage band. I also was blessed with a musical family, and playing tuba in band actually helped with playing bass and choir to help to focus on singing and playing, I have wonderful memories playing school dances playing Little River Band, Peter Frampton but we STRUGGLED. Number 10, my motto is GET OFF YOUR PITY POY AND FLUSH THE DARN THING!!! MO MORE STINKING THINKING AND THE PAST CANT AFFECT OR INFLUENCE YOU ANYMORE!!THANK YOU both for the hard work and great videos, they really make my day!! #LOVERNA2020 #KTMA #LOVELIFEAUTHENTIC ALL take care, God Bless and enjoy the new year to keep moving forward!

I’m wanting to open a store in Canada. Would love to talk with you about best way to get started. What if you can’t pay cash, etc? How small would you suggest starting. Maybe we can email about this?
@RNAMusic3 жыл бұрын
As small as you can honestly, The problem with getting loans or 30/60/90 day terms from suppliers is, you might have $20,000 in product from a company... and 90 days later you have to send them $20,000. What happens if you have sold all the product. That's how a lot of shops fail in the first few years. You can email us for sure, happy to share anything we've learned.

Ryan, you can't use authentic. Gibson will send you a cease and desist letter, then take you to court. Lol
