it speaks volumes about Kane that all of the items on this list are a result of poor writing and creative direction for his character; rather than a bunch of personal drama and controversy. So many superstars are plagued by a laundry list of missteps both in and out of the ring that they only have themselves to blame for. Kane is the Big Red Machine and that's all that matters. Good on him; a consummate professional of the highest quality in a business known for employing, shall we say...less than stable individuals.

Well Said, Kane is a prime example of what a LEGENDARY wrestler is all about. I have never heard anything bad about him from ex-wrestlers or reporters alike. Its also been reported that he doesn't mind losing to new wrestlers as he understands the need to help them grow both in popularity and experience. Too many are too obsessed with their image to understand that the industry isn't just about them.

The fact that he was ruined before it (see Katie Vick) and from thereafter (following the Shane feud, Unmasked Kane was SHIT) was ENTIRELY the fault of mishandled booking.

Doofus fan interviewers showcased this when they introduced Kane and then promptly asked, "Is this Kane or would you prefer Issac Yankem?" at which Glenn promptly tells the stupid idiots off and promptly left the interview in a huff. Regarding #10, Undertaker ADMITTED to setting the fire which killed Taker's kayfabe father, Undertaker & Kane's kayfabe mom (whom Paul Bearer kept referring to as "a sleazy whore"), and severely burning Kane (back when he still was considered a malformed beast under the mask) in the LEAD-UP to the creation of the Ministry of Darkness. So Taker being accused of murder by Paul Bearer in the LEAD-IN to Kane's debut in October 1997 at Badd Blood during the first-ever Hell in the Cell match turned out to be TRUE as far as kayfabe is concerned. Regarding #9, Kane threatening to burn himself alive probably following pressure from Corporation/WWE majority owner Vince McMahon as well as Kane's storyline father Paul Bearer as an overweight sociopath who loved seeing his two adopted sons (Kane being his real son following a paternity test in storyline & formally adopting The Undertaker after the family fire that killed The Undertaker's father and the mother both Brothers of Destruction shared who engaged in infidelity with Paul Bearer to give birth to Kane) & being in a First Blood Match against Stone Cold Steve Austin whilst wearing his two-sleeved attire was a damn giveaway that Stone Cold was putting over the demon in red...for one night only. Regarding #7, the feud with Pete Rose resurfaced in a commerical for October's No Mercy PPV in 2002, where Pete Rose acted like a Scrooge towards children trick-or-treating as WWE wrestlers, until opening the door once more and finding himself face to half-masked face with Kane, who smiled & said, "Hi Pete", before storming inside, grabbing Pete Rose by his collar and thrashing him about, as Pete lamented, "Not again" before being forced to hand out candy to the snubbed children seen earlier. The feud also came back for Pete Rose's stint as a guest host, where Pete Rose thought he finally could one-up Kane due to his power of authority for the night, but in a backstage segment after Pete Rose badmouthed Kane to Christian, who promptly got the figurative Hell out of there, the lights turned red as Kane's music played, the unmasked Kane stood next to Pete Rose, smirked evilly at him, then dragged him off to the "office" the guest hosts had as their headquarters before apparently laying waste to the Cincinnati Reds player-turned-manager shamefully vilified for racketeering "America's Favorite Past-time" (a nickname for baseball from a bygone era) seemingly for good to finally end the rivalry. Regarding #1, per Kane's kayfabe biography _Journey Into Darkness_ the story of Kane's character history OPENED with a preface citing KATIE VICK & her link to the Brothers of Destruction as the next-door neighbor to the misfit brothers & their rotund father figure (Kane's actual father in storyline & The Undertaker's longterm manager/father figure) whose own family was into the occult & Katie herself personally looked after Kane like a nursemaid/caretaker as he shifted around various mental hospitals & she went to school (hence the mannequin representing her being dressed in a cheerleader outfit during the simulated necrophilia gar, bage) over the course of many years. During all this, the two fell in love. Of course, the whole getting drunk & going for a neighborhood drive before getting into a car crash that killed Katie immediately still happened, and was yet another thing to traumatize Kane. So, terrible or not, KATIE VICK remains official to Kane's history (NOT the necrophilia, that's Triple H being a massive asshole, but then again, Kane & Triple H have had a rivalry for years, such as their Corporation/DX feud in 1998 where the original "Corporate" Kane still in his classic outfit & mask feuded with Triple H over Chyna, Kane teaming with The Undertaker & The Rock VS the McMahon-Helmsley Faction in 2000, and of course, this KATIE VICK necrophilia accusation bullocks that killed Masked Kane forever, as even Demon Kane from 2011-2014 & 2016 before seemingly retiring couldn't revitalize it, although the Team Hell No anger management class in 2012-2014 which had Kane give the cliff-note version of his character history (including KATIE VICK, citing "I once had a girlfriend named KATIE. It didn't work out well.") damn sure tried.
