And this is why so many fans have abandoned WWE over the years. They decided at the start of a guy's career that this absolutely has to be the guy and no one else deserves a chance. Jeff Hardy, perhaps the most over guy in the business is a much better example of how shit should be done. He naturally, and organically, evolved from a jobber, to a tag team jobber, to a tag team champion, to a solo champion, to a world champion, because fan love pushed him there. And unlike so many of the crap guys the WWE wants you to love, but you won't, it doesn't matter how much Hardy fucks up, we come back to him anyway.

He's uncharismatic, bad in the mic, overpushed, the new John Cena superman and he was very green in the ring when his push started. He had boring feuds, he buried league of nations (4 best heels in the roster, 2 of them former WWE champions) and he won the royal rumble eliminating Big Show and Kane. Daniel Bryan had been already eliminated and the rumble was booed down to hell. Even The Rock couldn't save him. Also Kevin Dunn mutes the crowd to hide the boos but it is impossible so he became tweener (a mix of a heel and a face). I love Roman Reigns, but I'm just waiting that he gets booked and treated properly. Shoving him down our throats by force is bad for him, us and the company. And now he's burying the Club with his cousins, the Usos, who are equally hated for somewhat similar reasons.

People need to learn to respect other people's opinions. Just because people start disliking someone doesn't make them less of a person, so goes for the other way around. But the case here is Reigns is not ready for being the face of the WWE. Lots of fans realize that. He is stiff, clumsy and boring on the mic. In ring skill wise, he is a midcarder at best. He simply isn't ready. Look at Kevin Owens, great at cutting promos, can pull off 5 star matches but people boo him because he is a great heel. Reigns gets boo'ed because he is awful.

If you're bad, heck, we'll still talk about you. It's how a superstar gets known and gains fame. It's what makes the business go round and round. It's up to the superstar if he wants to listen to his fans, haters and "critics". We, the fans, can continue cheering and booing whoever we want and can just ignore each other. As for Roman and WWE's case. Roman needs to improve. He is not fit for his role, but he has potential. WWE needs to realize that Roman isn't ready to be the face of the company. The reception he's getting is totally not good. They have to stop turning blind eyes and deaf ears to all the anti Roman signs (they had to blur out signs for this) and boos he's getting on the show. He needs to turn 'heel', go back to upper midcard events and improve his character and save his image.

I think that definition of journeyman isn't what most people think it means. most people consider a guy who has been a lot of places as being a journeyman. Roman is a guy from the sports world. In the sports world journeyman basically just means someone who has played for many teams and none of them for a long period of time.

I got into wrestling because of this guy. Friend had it on when I was over once and Roman was fighting that night. I will not be ashamed to admit he got my attention with more than just looks. For some reason, he's interesting to me, probably because I've seen characters like him before and they usually don't fail to catch my eye. Most happen to be underdogs in their own right. I think it's because of his weakness on the mic because I would have the same problem but I have the added excuse of having a psychological disorder where being able to express myself well through words is one of the many struggles. I guess I empathize with Roman as a character and as the guy portraying him. It's probably because that I gladly say I stand with the Empire. I'm still learning about his role in the Shield and I'm still trying to nail down what sort of character he's supposed to be right now since I got into WWE when his feud with Triple H was getting heated leading up to Wrestlemania, in which case the angle was to have him act like a wolf on the attack every time Triple H showed himself.
