I made the change from water to medium and liked it a lot more. It was easier for me to get fixed consistency with the ratios. Only downside is that not all brands are created equally and not all mediums and paint mix together well. When in doubt, use the paints brand of mediums for there stuff. I have heard a lot of KZbinrs say medium is just medium and does not matter but it does. The wrong medium will completely change the consistency of the paint.

My biggest mistake that I need to adjust is using those cheese pallets with bowls. They are only ment to hold a few ml of paint but there is no surface area to drag out the paint and control how thin it goes. Pretty much an all or nothing. Other than that I love the 4 thinned side by sides as this gives us a very nice visual of what we mean by thin, to glaze

Hello, I have a two part question for you, what board material are you using to thin your paints down on and do you have any issues of getting the right consistency and then having your paint dry out? I could see this thinning technique for an individual model of high detail but what if you're trying to paint an entire unit of say 16-25 troops? Thank you.
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures2 жыл бұрын
For the first one, that's why you use a wet palette and for the second one, I still thin down paint in the same way, it's just more efficient and less wasteful.
