Hey Minty! You do know that crows recognize faces. Also if you piss one off, they will exact revenge. Like pooping on your car and yes, even dive bombing you. They carry grudges. And they pass that to the next generation. Idk about other bird species just crows. Enjoyed the video! ❤️💜💚

You read my mind Minty , because I just watched The Birds a few weeks ago . I watched it and Psycho and it was awesome. It was the first time I had watched the birds and found it to be a very good movie . Of course I immediately fell in love with Tipi . The romantic comedy start to the movie does make the horror elements that much more shocking . I do remember seeing VHS tape of the sequel in my local blockbuster years ago . You have to do 10 things you didn't know about Vertigo.

"From long, long ago." Younger people are so funny. The Birds was one of the first scary movies I saw as a kid, around 1966 or so, on TV. Other favorites: The Crawling Eye, The Blob (both from the year I was born), and Them!, because it was documentary-style and I've always been nerdy.

I used to go down to Bodega Bay nearly every summer to visit relatives as a kid. The towns of Bodega Bay and Bodega are actually miles apart. The scene where the kids were running from the schoolhouse made it look like the bay was close by. In reality if they were to run from the schoolhouse in Bodega to the bay it'd be about a 5-mile (8km) run, if not more.

On Hitchcock's rough treatment of Tippi Hedron: For the bird attack in the attic, Hitchcock tethered a couple birds to Tippi, so they would go frantic, trying to get away. Tippi panicked, making the scene appear even more violent. Hitchcock was notorious for being brutal with actors, to give scenes more realism. Another director infamous for that, was Stanley Kubrick.

A better idea for a sequel, would start with the family driving off from Bodega Bay. It could include the proposed bird attack while crossing the GG Bridge. I remember my dad showing me this movie when I was a kid. I always interpreted as some kind of environmental related meaning. The birds don't like the human's encroaching on their territory. Upsetting the balance of nature. When the lady showed up with two birds in a cage that was like the last straw. The birds wanted the people out of their space.
@drdogbarker38307 күн бұрын
The tiny village of Bodega still has some of the original buildings that were featured in the movie. The best is Potter School, which is now a private residence, and the St Teresa of Avila Church. There used to be a funky deli/antique store across the street that had a funky Hitchcock mannequin out front. If you didn't stop to have your picture taken with Alfred, there was something wrong with you. Then one day it was gone...the business had been sold. 😢 Most people drive through Bodega on their way to Bodega Bay. Don't blink. People from other countries will stop in Bodega Bay looking for the gas station and The Tides as they were in the movie (60's.) They're always disappointed (me, too). For decades, Tippi Hedren came to the Tides on Labor Day Weekend and mingled with fans and signed autographs. She remained an elegant, beautiful woman. The restaurant still displays old photos on the wall. It's a shame so many people don't know this great film.
