Nitro was a game-changer for WCW it boosted WCW to compete with the WWF and the history that happened one year later at at WCW bash at the beach 1996 where Hulk Hogan gave the leg drop to the Macho Man and turn heal and became the third member of the new world order of professional wrestling in the rise of WCW for 83 weeks in a row from 1996-1998

I can't believe that the then-WWF was inattentive enough to have Lex Luger work without a contract. He was free to jump to WCW if he wanted. Vince McMahon had Junkyard Dog jump to the WWF without giving Mid-South Wrestling any notice back in the '80s, but McMahon cried foul anyway.

I grew up watching WWF and for some reason switched over to WCW, I think when Hulk Hogan did. But my long love for wrestling died when WCW was folded, I tried to give WWE a chance, but when they screwed up the invasion angle, I shut off wrestling for good. I do hope good things for the AEW and will give a look to see if it's any good.

I almost wrecked when I was typing this so I know it’s mean but I’ve been calling Bischoff ‘karate model’ what did he do. Except almost kill wrestling while copying the worst weakness of Vince McMahon , the product. Vibcdjust has balls to go public while the other promoters had an understanding out of weakness cause the only right way to live is being the best and thriving as much as possible. Being satisfied and have wonk and nod agreements will always make bad karmas. Vince doesn’t know what sells bodybuilders can’t beat anyone up and if you see a clown and a hockey player wrestling you’ll stick around for that match but the payoff is it will ruin (and did because they were almost bankrupt with the new generation)laudable and the passion

It’s a kinda confusing situation. There’s actually footage of Vince standing in front of a World Championship Wrestling sign from when he first introduced that WWF programming would now be airing on the TBS time slot that GCW and Jim Crockett Promotions always used. The name of the TV show at the time was World Championship Wrestling and Vince kept the name while airing his shows. WCW as a company didn’t even exist as its known until a few years later.
