1st thing I did was fly to the very tippy top of hyrule castle from the very 1st sky tower. All you need was like 2 or 3 stamina meals. At the very top is zelda's bow which does thirty base damage and shoots farther than normal bows. Then just explore down from there there's no enemies at the top. I got royal guard weapons and shields and if you light the torches in the throne room you will unlock a chest with champion armor.

I would also recommend getting climbing gear early as possible and Auto Build very early. Also, the game has a lot of areas great for stocking up on Bananas. 5 Cooked Bananas adds attack up 3 levels for 4 minutes. I can find 30 Bananas is a couple of minutes

Should of talked about getting the leggings after the 3rd shrine… just make the right and go up through the floor and the leggings are in a chest so you can stand the cold from the beginning. Very important item to have quick.

Yes that's intended but you can change it later on after progressing a bit if you want pure stamina so it's not a big deal especially considering the amount of shrines

Surprised you didn't suggest the fact that you can turn regular Chuchu jelly into whatever element you want simply by hitting it with that element. You can turn a large group of ChuChu jelly that you've thrown on the ground to all ice, fire or shock with just a single elemental item. VERY handy & effective for stocking up on those elemental ChuChu jellies!

Does anyone know what those weird floating boxes are in the sky Island that look like some kind of a puzzle box, but they're huge with two dragon heads on them? Do they serve any purpose other than floating there? I just picked tears of the kingdom up yesterday evening at about 5:00 and I started at about 10:30 and pulled it all. Nighter and pretty much all day today, Sunday mother's Day. It is now 248 p.m. in Tennessee and I just stopped playing to walk the dogs and then going to see Mom for mother's Day. They float there and you can attach Zonai devices to them. Say you attach a rocket. It will lift the platform...but those platforms are special. They won't fall after being lifted, they will stay there

Just a nitpick but, DONT BUY ARROWS! EVER! They are so free and plentiful if you just break every crate and barrel you see, seriously I use arrows CONSTANTLY and I am still at 500-ish and counting , there is no reason to waste money on arrows

Cool, so this video isn’t for you. Some of us love gaming but have ADHD or other issues that prevent us from playing or low down/halt our progress. My attention span is hella low. I located all the geoglyphs and marked the exact spot where the tear is in each glyph, but I only checked the first three, the rest I left for last once I'm done with everything else except the final boss battle.

I just got TOTK, & I completed BOTW 3 times in 2 years, I always focus on hearts first, because I always make 4 stamina meals that refill the stamina circle, & use it right before stamina circle runs out & because of this I can get the Master sword after 40 shrine, but with TOTK you need a full additional stamina wheel to pull the master sword, which will probably have me making meals that make extra temporary hearts, until after I get the master sword.

I gotta disagree with getting a full bar of stamina before getting any more hearts of health. I think you should get 4 hearts (you'll get another one from a regional phenomena questline or at least I did) and then put the rest of it towards stamina. If you just stay with 3 hearts you can get killed in 1 hit by some enemies and that is really annoying. Getting up to 4 hearts and grinding stamina has suited me very well and the way I would recommend. That 4th heart can allow you to top up on some food after a slip up during a boss battle instead of having to restart the whole thing if you make a single mistake. But regardless, awesome video. It's funny, I bought a Switch for BOTW, then I barely played any other games on the Switch and eventually sold it and bought an Oculus Rift because it was just collecting dust. Now for TOTK, I bought a Switch Lite and it's one of my favorite games of all time. I'm not a huge Nintendo fan or anything, but Zelda is such an amazingly unique franchise. Plus, the Switch Lite is an amazing piece of hardware for the price. I also have a Steam Deck but have been playing the Switch Lite almost exclusively since TOTK. Just make sure you buy a grip case to go with it if you have reasonably large hands.

I completely agree that just focusing on stamina and ignoring hearts is actually a bad idea. I can explore the world in totk with the two stamina wheels that I have. But I didn't get a full two wheels until I finished the regional phenomenon. Until then I had only one extra section of stamina and did just fine. I even finished botw with only one extra segment of stamina and did just fine. Not focusing on hearts has caused me to die so many times its not funny. I stopped counting at a hundred, and restarted. As far as what the first reply said about stick drift, sometimes it can be temporarily fixed by getting a little rubbing alcohol under the rubber on the stick and rotating it for about 30 seconds and letting it dry. I have fixed mine twice. It isn't permanent but it lasted a few months for me each time.

I defeated phantom ganondorf using purely arrows are the bread and butter of totk😅. While stamina is awesome in this game getting hearts is paramount as well because some enemies can easily one shot you and nothing wrong with having extra health; but as botw you can interchange vessels accordingly.

So glad that FINALLY ppl are suggesting to upgrade Stamina over Hearts. This was my motto in the 1st game. I literally didn't even care about hearts, & I don't see that being any different here. I honestly really hate that you HAVE to take a heart for your first upgrade in this game... I really wish it could be Stamina.

Yeah, especially in the beginning. Many things can one shot you even if you have 6 to 8 hearts, so it doesn't matter if you only have 4 hearts, focus on dodging. The stamina is far more handy. You get hearts when you defeat bosses, but there's no other way to get more stamina.

Yep that's what I did. I trust the dev to guide me during early game. However, I got distracted so unlocking the geoglyph slowly atm. Too many side quests so overwhelming what with caves, shrines, mining, chasing all the armours, unlocking the great fairies etc.

Step 1 post sky-island: Go to lookout landing and get your paraglider...do not get distracted by the early shrines on the ground; you'll end up in the sky with impa and no para-glider.

Tip 1. Farm some grass for restless crickets and cook them with a monster piece to make stamina potions and once you get the paraglider fire yourself out of the tower at lookout landing and go to the throne room for the champions tunic and go to the docks and hide from the big bad monster by climbing high and grab the Hylian shield 😁🤣❤️

Does anyone know of a way to complete/ or a glitch for the temple of time last door without exchanging with the statue? (I.e opening the door with 3 hearts) don’t expect many to agree or understand but it is just too much of an offensive thing to do (praying to a goddess statue), but the game it seems won’t let you progress without doing it. I was able to do botw without ever interacting with a goddess statue, was hoping to in totk as well
