The winter World Cup didn’t bother me so much tbh it’s just evil towards the players who have a really congested schedule now especially in the premier league after the Queens death. Brazil was involved in the deaths of workers, thousands of Brazilians became homeless and political parties hand their hands deep in the pockets of fundings for the stadiums. Russia was allowed to host the World Cup despite their notorious record of Russian imperialism in neighbouring countries. Gazprom was known for their scandals but was still the key partner of the Uefa Champions League. Now the same happens with Qatar who were one of the first to state sponsor clubs in Europe. Its just that Qatar has been given more attention but its not different from the previous World Cups. FIFA in and of itself is a politically corrupt organization which showed even more of its hypocrisy when they basically denied Russian from playing Football in the International Competitions (something that violates their own guidelines and policies which promotes the freedom and access to football in Europe for all people irregardless of their circumstances). FIFA claims it acts in accordance with the human right code of conduct presented by the United Nations but that would mean that a lot of countries, should be excluded from the World Cup. Once again, they're political. So no, it won't be different.

The Qatar World Cup has been talked about an awful lot so I would like to talk about another World Cup decision that I see as immoral. Portugal and Spain inviting Ukraine to their bid would seem like nothing more than an odd decision when you think about it geographically but I think it is a decision taken in order to to make the bid seem more likeable.Portugal & Spain invited Ukraine for a good look if there had been no war and Ukraine hadn’t been in the public eye so much they wouldn’t have been invited into the Iberian bid.Morocco , Algeria or France would all be better nations to join the Iberian bid. To sum up my comment Spain & Portugal and somewhat using the Ukraine-Russo war for their own good.

The major upsides: 1.First World Cup to be held before Christmas and in Arab World. 2.The proximity between stadium's locations makes all participants no need plane. 3.Favourable kick off times due to Qatar having the same time zone as Russia. This means some games were played from afternoon (5PM Indonesian time) to night (2AM Indonesian time). Opening game is 11PM Indonesian time, while Final is 10PM Indonesian time. 4.Might be a good time to see the dark horse in tournament. Could it be Denmark, Canada, Wales, Senegal, or even Qatar, who wants to avoid South Africa from being the World Cup host with the worst result (crashed out in group stage). Also, we will see how France continued the Champions Curse and England bringing the football back to home. 5.If the Qatar World Cup is considered success, it will be a high hope of country to host the next major tournaments. Qatar will host the 2023 Asian Cup with 8 World Cup stadiums likely hosted all games. This will be interesting since the Asian Cup sees four ASEAN teams playing in the tournament plus weaker teams like Hongkong and Tajikistan. It might be a good time to see Qatar aims to defend the trophy at home. The major downsides: 1.Qatar needs an improvement regarding crowd control. We don't want it to suffer the disaster like in Indonesia, when hundreds of people died after crowd control mismanagement. 2.The World Cup takes place in the middle of the domestic league, so it's not an ideal. Players have been injured and missed out the chance to fly to Qatar.
