Look in too crafting potions, horse reviver etc. The ones you make your self can often be badass and they can be sold for a lot more than the standard ones you can buy. Same as if you have "big game meat or prime beef" you miks in some oregano, mint or other herbs, they are much more efficient and stronger. Last tip, craft dynamite arrow. Now thats how you defend your self against the wild :-)

I always make sure my horse is clean, well fed and happy. I always make sure Arthur is clean, well fed and happy. My weight always stays average. I'm doing great! I have a routine whenever I get on. I save at night so when I get on I can sleep till morning. I get up and start doing chores, after I've finished all camp work duty, I get some stew, grab a cup of Joe, and off I go. I hunt 4 buck, 6 rabbits and catch 15 medium sized fish. That's a decent amount of food for the camp and myself. I then travel to parts I haven't been to yet, once I'm there, I set up camp. After I've discovered a good amount of the area helping people out, and also defending myself against any would be enemies rather it be man, or animal, I head back home to camp. Whatever valuable items I have to sell I take to the fence the next day. If I don't have enough to make a good profit, I will continue to do this for a few more days until I do have enough. But before I head out, I always make sure to finish all my chores before I leave that day. My two favorite people to talk to are Little Jack, and the Indian girl that hangs out at the saloon in Valentine. I think she fancies me quite a bit. 😉

I’m kind of surprised people couldn’t figure out that if the horse looks pissed it’s because it is lol Gta doesn’t take itself seriously, therefore people think rockstar doesn’t take their games seriously, but RDR was one of my all time favorite games of childhood because of the realism. RDR2 blew my expectations out of the water and so much more. I really hope we get another undead nightmare, or even a demon slayer DLC so you fight the wendigo, werewolves, vampires “you can actually find Nosferatu if you follow the clues” and all kinds of mythical creatures. Remember the giant bats, jackalopes, the unicorn, Bigfoot, the four horses of the apocalypse, the “werewolf/wolf-man” sightings/theory’s. It could be building up into something epic

So cleaning your gun is actually a bigger deal than you say. Degrading weapons actually have lowered stats. You can see the stats actually "improve" (slowly) by manually cleaning them. Gunsmith is instant but you can see that the weapon stats are majorly improved. So gun maintenance is actually very important in this type of game.

Tip: Sometimes Arthur will get stuck, and no amount of sprinting or jumping will change that. You can access your Campsite from the item wheel, and he'll set up camp nearby, becoming unstuck.

Another really great use of the camp is if you are stuck on a ledge of a mountain or up somewhere high with no way to get down, just rest and choose to set up camp and you will be back on flat ground and won't have to trek, or fall down the mountain. Like when you find the first Jack Hall treasure it's on top of a high hill on a ledge and it's tough to get down without dying or losing a lot of health so this is perfect for times like that

Didn't know horses could kick you until I killed some O'driscolls and tried to loot their horses saddlebags. In my instance I wasn't even in the process just standing directly behind it and it kicked me and killed me on the spot. Immediatley I thought "well duh dumbass, you just stood directly behind a horse" but was very happy with it being included.

When I go hunting in the mountains, I always take 2 horses. I haven't seen anyone talk about this in all these help videos. You can carry two huge pelts and it isn't hard. Saves lot's of time too.

Yo pro tip! Boss Tip! Shoot birds with small game arrows as long as you don’t miss you can get 3 flight feathers per bird. So you can make arrows faster

I do this as well. It's clunky sometimes, and confusing as to when you save and when you can't.. but too many times, because of the poor controls in this game, I've done something to piss someone off or get the law after me when I didn't intend to. Maybe I have fat fingers? But I save game often and avoid that aggravation.

I save manually before or during a long road trip- in case I get ambushed on the road by a gang or a stranger asking for help. In this game, you can be enter the "wanted" state even if you shot in self-defense.

I don't understand why you can assign your guns to holsters or shoulder, because these settings DO NOT save. I saw another video saying these positions can be saved at the gunsmith and every time you get off your horse, those weapons would automatically be on your person, in those positions. It doesn't happen.

If you don't wanna kill the horse, just calm it enough to ride it to your next destination with your horse following you. That plus feeding it a couple times gets it to level 1 trust. Once it's there you'll be able to search the saddlebags without getting kicked. Then sell the horse if you want. I've gotten a few gold nuggets from horses so I always try to get at least one from random encounters.

One thing I do to save me aggravation is to turn off auto-save. I make sure to manual save before deciding to go on a mission and after a mission. During free play I save a lot as well. If I know I'm going to rob a train for example than I'll save.

No you cant set up camp everywhere, you get moved to a fixed place where you can camp on. But you can start camping anywhere outside in wilderness. Have not think of looting the horses tho

Not 100% sure about this but I think there is one more difference between getting your gun cleaned at the gunsmith as opposed to doing it yourself. So whenever I clean the gun myself, the stats don't always seem to reach the max white part of the bar, there's still some left to restore but I can't clean it any further. If I take my weapons to the gunsmith, it completely refills the white part of the bar that has decreased. Again, I'm not 100% maybe some could give a second opinion on this.

If you want some free gun cleaning just find a camp where there is a group of enemy you have to kill them or you can tie them all, then loot them after, looting them you can sometimes get a gun oil and clean it by your self🤷🏻 But the problem you are going to lose some ammo but it depends on your shots though🤷🏻

my lil tip if u need a wash dont pay for a bath just go into a river that washes blood off as well also works for the horse so just ride into a shallow stream and let the horse swim around abit. 2 cleans 1 dip lol

Upgrade your weapons. Knives and Guns. You’ll get better stats. And also buy stronger bullets so you have stronger fire power. I mostly used the Scofield pistol, Lancaster Repeater and semi shotgun. 3 go to weapons that I kept with me forever.

Something I have no idea if people know about or not but I'm going to mention it just in case. There is an instance early on where Leapold Struss (SP) asks you to collect money. The place you go to is small home of a farmer and his wife and son. The man is sick and if you beat him up he will cough in your face and your character will wipe the spit off his face. The problem doesn't show up until a couple chapters later but the farmer had tuberculosis and in chapter 5 you develop TB and start a slow death. I haven't tried just staying away from the farmer by skipping the instance but it looks like I'll have to start over to fix it.

You can go to any stable and they will retrieve your horse from anywhere. I've also yet to purchase gun oil. Find one of the campsites, kill everyone there, loot....chances are you'll find some gun oil. O'Driscolls and Raiders carry it frequently as well.

If you're stuck in a town that has a stable without a horse, go in to the stable and manage horses and pick the horse your left out of reach and it will spawn in the stable.

First of all, you don't use up 1 gun oil for every cleaning, so it's cheaper to do it yourself. Secondly, escalating death penalty is easily avoided by saving often and loading your save if you die.

Unless you're going to a vendor don't carry cash on your person. If you die you won't incur the death tax and you can surrender to wipe out a bounty (provided it's not Dead or Alive obviously)

dont go to a town and terrarize it to many times one time i robbed valentine and they had enough and closed all the shops and wouldnt let me in only npc's NEVER do to much trouble unless u wanna be kicked out of every place in the town for a good 2 days in game

Yesterday, I left my horse when I picked up the white Arabian and forgot I could have it follow me. All I could do was go back for it since it wasn't my main horse anymore. It sucked, got attacked a bunch on the way back to Valentine and the old horse got tired a lot.

Split point bullets. You cant hold as many as regular rounds but the do more damage and deteriorate your weapons slower. They can be made while resting or at a campfire.

Made 1 at time and the difference in damage isnt worth the hours to split point point 1 at a time, using better ammo is best compared to wasting time splitting - but splitting will allow you to carry more ammo if you plan on being our in the wilderness for a very long time - which is rare.

I've had a bounty of 1037, so higher than the 1k you said. I got into the gunsmith at Saint Denis, and just killed everyone that came into the store. Got to the point where they couldn't get through the front door
