Nobody knows if aizen has a bankai or not. We know that there's only one person that achieved the rank of captain without a bankai and that's kenpachi. However since aizen fooled all of the captains and lieutenants with his shikai, he might have faked his bankai aswell. He must have. They would have realised, that his bankai had nothing to do with his shikai if he didn't. I'm fairly certain that he has one but noone in soul society has ever seen it. Except maybe gin and tōsen.

Another fact that people often get wrong is that the Hogyoku was invented by Urahara while in fact Aizen had already created a Hogyoku many years before him. Also, it is not clear that the Hogyoku rejected Aizen. Ichigo gave some thought to the idea that Aizen just wished his powers to be understood. If he is right, then we could think that when he met and was defeated by someone stronger than him, the Hogyoku considered his wish was granted and so returned him to his original self.
