@@seb1520 i do agree with your sentiment, fromsoft makes good DLCs, adding generally new item sets and fleshed out levels from content that isn’t actually essential to the game. however the fact is that many dlc’s have been based on cut content, which is a bit of a sketchy practice. fromsoft has no apparent interest in “games as a service” and as such their dlc is just what it is, more of the game. nobody can complain, and nobody should.

Elden Ring feels like what I made of Dark Souls as a teenager in my own mind when it came out, 10 years ago.Back then it felt like what I see in those videos.Lordran was always a "completely" open world in my mind back then, although in the real game it wasn't.I believe Elden Ring is like a dream for every single one of us who loved those games back in the days of Demons/Dark Souls and got lost in their lore. This feels like what they WANTED to make...but FromSoft wasn't big enough.But after such success they finally ARE big enough.And what I want to believe is that Elden Ring is the realization of that dream, because it sure looks like it. For a game to surpass Dark Souls for me feels impossible but this seems like what I wanted to play all those years ago.And I freakin' love it!

Ds1 actually is the closes thing too this. It's the only one with free roaming, all the others you had to follow specific paths to get to specific areas. Ds1 had farming areas, open areas and you can go damn near everywhere at the start of the game. Ring the bells and then the entire game opens up after that.

Important Thing 11: ALL skeletons will reanimate. The way to stop it this time around is by attacking its body after "killing" it. Though if the skeleton glows while active, there's a necromancer to kill. Important Thing 12: You can freely rebind your controls. I just really hope Divine Blessing equivalents aren't going to make it. It's very irritating feeling like you can't use your extremely rare and valuable healing items to win a PvP but the person savescumming, twinking, or save editing can. I don't want PvP to be decided by who is willing to blow the most play hours crafting powerful rare consumables in a race to waste everyone's time. Getting geared up for an optimal PvP loadout shouldn't take very long or require a whole playthrough to get more of a particular consumable.

It's like everything you can do is more useful in Elden Ring. I've never been a shield person in Souls, but then they made them extremely useful with guard counters now. But then you think "So, 2handing is bad now, right?" and the answer is NO, 2handing is also great for other reasons that might suit different playstyles. So far Elden Ring sounds like it's getting everything right, this Network test was a blessing for us and probably for them too with the amazing advertisement being made here on YT.

Nobody mentioned this to me either but once I found out, it changed my experience significantly lol. You now have a pouch in ER, similar to a hot-bar that you can access by holding triangle. You can select different items to be used with the corresponding buttons on the D pad. For example, if you put the spirit whistle in the pouch you can hold triangle and down and access it immediately. The same goes for your Physick, Fire Grease, etc. Using this means you can clear out most of the items in your bar that you usually have to cycle through. :)

Nothing like getting toxic and having to AHHHHH through the pause menu hoping you don't get hit Sekiro in particular would have been so rough but luckily we had an actual pause button so we could use items not on the bar.

at 6:00, you indicated the triangle button for two-handing, an additional thing for the triangle button is that it is the toggle button for the "pouch" in the upper right of the main menu, you can register flasks, the mount whistle, etc. to the 4 or 6 available slots in it, and access it via holding triangle + d-pad up/down/left/right. this addition to the game helps you avoid toggling the inventory tab in the equipment menu, so just place the other consumables and summons on the inventory tab, and the flasks and mount whistle in the pouch. it's something that's left out from tutorials, and other video creators failed/miss seeing/experimenting on it.

Also, you can quickly use 4 items of your choise by holding triangle and pressing one of the four arrows on the d-pad, just like triangle + R1 or L1 lets you dual wield one of the weapons. @shira_yone
@shira_yone 2 жыл бұрын
I think I'm still going to put the healing flask on the usual quick slots since it only needs 1 button to use. You probably need to stop moving for a sec as you hold triangle and tap the d-pad once as your finger move off from the analog stick, which may sound negligible but it can be a matter of life and death in combat. The other flasks I might put on the triangle slot.
@gigio9790
@gigio9790 2 жыл бұрын
@@shira_yone yes, i also thought that the healing flask might be better to keep on the square so that i can always see how many are left.
