Where the character becomes different shades of Pankaj Tripathi instead of Tripathi becoming the character. Also he has limitations in playing a wide range of characters. The biggest mistake he did with the Atal movie was that he tried to become Atal, and instead, it became a caricature. He should have let Atal become Pankaj and internalize the role instead of externalising. The best example is Mohanlal in Iruvar(one of the greatest Indian movies ever made), where he played a complex political character like MGR. Mohanal is an out and out natural actor. So, instead of becoming and risking caricaturing MGR, he let MGR become Mohanlal and completely internalized the role.

I think the problem was that Sara was the main focus of the movie. For example. Nargis was terrible in Rockstar, but we don't really remember/care about it much, since Ranbir was exceptional in that one. Now imagine if Ranbir was terrible in that movie. No matter how amazingly any actress could have performed Heer's role, the movie wouldn't have the cultural relevance it has now without Jordan's performance being so amazing. Randeep even made the scenes with Sara more bearable. The scene between Randeep and Kartik was genuinely amazing, and so were the flashback parts. But ultimately, Sara was the focus of the movie. Which makes it hard to look past her terrible performance and appreciate the rest.

Half the yrf films have gone from prime yet there’s only 12 -13 films there and thugs is one of them this was a solid 7/10 film but in September 2018 the films negative reviews were coming in this film was targeted like a lot of aamir khan films since bjp came in to power I mean secret superstar was an average grosser in Hindi it did well overseas even if you take china out of the equation. The only really bad acting aamir has done in a film was laal Singh chaddha I’ve never seen such an awful performance for nearly 2hrs he redeems himself at roopa’s samadhi.

1. Ashutoshs choice of Arjun Kapoor itself was wrong. So its not just bad acting but bad casting too. 2. Thugs of Hindustan was a terrible movie. Bad story and extremely poor screen play, dialogues. Nobody would have been able to save it. 3. Besharam, Saina,Coolie no. 1, Mrs. Serial killer, Love Aaj Kall 2, The killer, was extremely poor acting. 4. Best not talk about Adipurush. It had multiple things going wrong for it. 5. As for Atal, Pankaj Tripathi is not a great imitator agreed. But it was needed to make the role/ character/ person more believable.

Agree with pankaj tripathi's criticism. He copied body language of Atal, but not Atal's voice modulations, the natural pauses he use to take in his speeches. Wo कवि waali baat nahi thee pankaj tripathi ki acting me.

They all highly surpassed the bad acting list. Really Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti were more than pathetic. But I think Pankaj Tripathi's inclusion in this list took me by a surprise. Playing PM Vajpayee was no joke but he did a great job I think.

I think director and writer distroyed those movies , if they are capable then they can extract necessary acting from those talented actors. A good story with a bad director leads to a bad movie.

Not agree with Aamir khan his performance were very good the reason toh fail was irritated character of Katrina and unwanted turn twist very long screen play bad action poor execution of the screen play dialogue
