Mason hasn't even been charged. He was arrested in January and released on bail and there's been 3 extensions and zero charges brought Against him. He hasn't been charged so whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Seems nowadays you're guilty until proven guilty. Innocence doesn't seem to come into play these days.

I find Italian Fascism a pretty repugnant political ideology, but it has little in common with the National Socialism of 1930s Germany with which it is often conflated. I find the politics of Paolo di Canio pretty execrable. However, many of his detractors speak of him as a Nazi. He is not that. He is a Roman and an Italian nationalist. Fascism has a strange and nuanced history in Italy - and particularly among some parts of the populations of Rome and Lazio. Di Canio certainly has some views that repel me and many decent people, but then so do Liz Truss, Suella Braverman, Priti Patel and Nigel Farage. In many respects, the views of Di Canio are rather softer than some of theirs.
