I wish most games had a single player component to them. That way I could enjoy a larger spread of games. It would seem that this would be desirable from the studios perspective as well. I do know that multi-player has a much steeper hill to climb vs single player. Another reason I would like to see more single person type games. Then the studios could actually be getting some money from their singles game while working on multi-player functionality.

I was banned from fallout 76 immediately after their accounts were hacked around Christmas right after the launch, my account was also hacked and they used it to run hacks on the game, I wrote an email to Bethesda, and they basically asked me to write them an essay about why hacking is bad which I politely declined and asked them to provide evidence that I had been hacking to which they reinstated my account. as I called them out on their terrible security leak and said that I'd paid 70 dollars to play a game that I couldn't even play because my details were leaked and my account hacked.

I was deployed overseas fighting an actual war. Someone had broken into my home knowing that I was deployed. stole all my belongings including my tower PC. Used my accounts on steam to play black ops call of duty 2 zombies. they used a program called cheat engine. As later reported by Activision. After I came home to find all my belongings stolen. I Made a police report & got a new computer to recovered all my accounts. At this point I find that my game was permanently banned by Activision. I even submitted the police report & my DD214 proving I was deployed to Activision and they still said no we will not remove the global ban. And Activision thank me for my service at the end of the call. That was the last time I ever bought a game from Activision or any game that was supported or sponsored by activation.....................Grrrrrr

Sounds like a good solution to me. Keeps the mischief down by keeping them busy and out of the way of legitimate users. Also you could use that as an advertisement. You don't ban players just put them in a group of like minded players! Problem (mostly) solved!

as far as the punishment is concerned, they should only be able to play with other cheaters and bots, as you said, but the bots are set to the most impossible of hard mode difficulty settings. That way they know what it feels like to play against a cheater with a clearly unfair advantage. Perhaps after a long enough time of doing that, they will learn their lesson and not cheat if their accounts are reinstated.

Just the other day I was playing, and a guy was flying around with god mode on the MK II Oppressor, fucking with low levels and just generally being a dick. After I called him out on it, he actively targeted me and basically spent the rest of the time I was in the lobby pulling me out of passive (which I rarely use, other than for instances such as this) and killing me. I disconnected after a while and rejoined my buddy when the shithead left. Needless to say, I hate cheaters, but sometimes I wish I had mods and whatnot. Not to cheat at the game and ruin everyone else's experience, just to ruin an actual cheater's day.

To the point that in ten years after even 'winning' a gold metal. End up dying due to a heart attack or some other medical issue. My version of "Epic Cheaters" are those who bend the rules by looking at the rule book. Finding out that there isn't a rule for...oh inflating a basketball in a full tank to trick inspectors that the tank is full and then deflate it, fill the tank even more and be able to run a race longer than anyone else. Or another way is to run a slightly bigger fuel line and run it longer. Able to add maybe 1 or 2 more gallon(s) of fuel. Even drive off in the car after the gas tank is removed. Though by technicality they did cheat but they could not be truly punished because at the time there was no rule against it. Though this is autosports or NASCAR to narrow the focus a bit. As for other sports. American League Baseball has a lot of cheaters and the funny thing is. It isn't because of steroids. Some cheaters used basic cheats of scruffing up the ball with a little bit of sandpaper, using way more pine tar on their bat and so many others. Though also the other kind of cheating that seems to always happen. Game-Fixing. Where either the league wants some team to win or officials who are illegally gambling on the game want their team to win. Just twist the rules and enforce normally uncalled penalties on one side or the other. And make it so much harder for one side to have a fair chance to win. And that kind of shit is why there can be fan riots or the league getting close to executing their own officials. Though that shit is harder to enforce or call cheating. When it is the very organization doing the cheating and they write the damn rules. Just like Politics. *rolls eyes*

I've played games with aim bot, wall hacks etc. Across various games...and gotten destroyed...until they either turn hacks off, or I find them a day or so later with them off. And without the hacks their performance level drops DRAMATICALLY. I used to play a lot of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, and there was a glitch that allowed any weapon to deal the same amount of damage as the rocket launcher (basically a screen clearing weapon with very limited ammo and no way to refill it during a game). Players abusing that glitch were everywhere.

It's not really a trap. It can be perfectly justifiable and fun to cheat in SINGLE PLAYER games. For Single Player Games, why not as it doesn't effect anybody else and it's fun breaking the game every now and then. I mean anybody who played GTA 3, Vice City, or GTA San Andreas, who didn't use cheats at least once when they were bored. For MP games, not really. I don't even play PvP much anymore (which is true as I avoid PvP only games now). I'm just not very competitive.

cheating is subjective...i don't get why people find cheating a big issue in games nowadays...why all the salt around that? When i was growing up a majority of the games i played with my older brothers required cheats and/or walkthroughs to get through...but nowadays people think cheating is a crime and walkthroughs is bad tastes. classic retro adventure games had cheats for fun and you practically NEEDED walkthroughs to beat them. even some games today have optional cheats to make a game fun. i think the problem is when peopel hear the words "cheats" they automatically think you mean "the kind of cheating like online where you use it to be a dick" the same way everyone thinks online is hot sh$3 nowadays...when i hear the word cheating i think of those funny joke cheats that are harmless in games.

Overwatch is only toxic in higher ranked competitive, and rarely in qp. What he was referring to was serial stream snipers, which ARE extremely rare in Overwatch because the moderators shut them down faster than a bolt of lightning. Repeat offenders are even rarer. This guy was infamous for having enough money to throw away to make new PC accounts to continue to stream snipe. The report system does work, it just takes a lot of proof to actually ban someone for a longer length of time. As a female gamer, I know, but Overwatch has gotten A LOT better (partially because the playerbase got smaller) and usually, when one person is being toxic, in the majority of games I play, they get called out on it IMMEDIATELY. You literally took one phrase out of the context of the sentence and topic and made it out to seem like he was saying the Overwatch community isn't toxic. What you just did, IS toxic. Shame on you.

I've cheated in CSGO and got VAC Banned. I cheated because I was getting Salty over the increasing amount of over cheaters cause by the game going free-to-play and it became that phrase "Die a Hero or Live Long Enough to be the Villain" An a villian I became. Aimbotted and wall hacked in Comp, Wingman, and the killing blow was Casual. I've now been banned from Csgo for 991 days. I've since created an alt to play more legit and got Gold 2 Rank in Comp and Gold 4 in Wingman. But those cheaters still appear plus generally being rusty for not playing for quite some time, cost my comp rank to be Sliver 2. I generally don't play Enough to get my rank back and I just don't let it get to me anymore as I enjoy just playing the game on a more casual playing field.

I got skyrim for the pc after playing on a PS3 for years. The first thing I did was use console commands to instantly have every perk point in the game. I wouldn't dream of cheating in a multiplayer game though. I've had my day ruined before by cheaters of various kinds in all sorts of games. I wouldn't want to put others through that. Putting this out here. Cheating in a single player game is perfectly fine. Especially the second time you play the game. I feel like it adds a new experience and you can give your opponents some revenge. Cheating in a multiplayer game is for utter scumbags.
