It should also be noted that the more "meta" aspects of Denny Crane's references to Star Trek played fully into the rest of the ensemble's ongoing question of his mental fitness. It was established that he had mild cognitive impairment, but Denny's more eccentric and extreme actions frequently led them to wonder if he was beginning to suffer from Alzheimers' (as his father had). I don't think it was ever revealed whether or not he actually WAS in the early stages, but it was certainly implied that he liked to play-act as if he was just to amuse himself at everyone else's confusion. So anything in the show that may point to Denny Crane actually, in reality, being Captain Kirk, could well have been Denny having a laugh.

Thank you for giving me a reason to check out black mirror it's amazing. I normally stay away from highly popular things but any show that pays homage to trek is ok with me.

It's probably a bit further down, but Red Dwarf Episode 'The Last Day': Kryten comments 'Is this the Human value you call... friendship?" and Lister's rejoinder: "Don't give me that 'Star Trek' crap, it's too early in the morning" - It may not be too sympathetic, but it's not. on. the. LIST!

For Boston Legal they should have also put some StarGate gages in there for James Spader (Daniel Jackson) character.

You missed two of the best: - Stargate SG-1, 200th episode parodies Startrek along with a host of other shows. - DC legends of tomorrow EPIC end of season 5, with the fates, has the legends trapped in a TV program that's again StarTrek, but with the genres reversed, in its 14th episode.

Boston Legal could be set within the Nexus, where Kirk is living an alternate life (consciously) - before he didn't want that anymore (aka it was/got cancelled) and returned to his farm, right before Picard shows up (so had Picard shown up at least a couple hours "earlier", then he would've met Kirk in 21st century Boston).

There were also references to Star Trek in both the original 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon (produced by Fred Wolf Films) and the 2012 Nickelodeon CGI reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the 2012 TMNT reboot, there's even a parody of Star Trek: The Animated Series, called Space Heroes, a favorite TV show of the leader of the Ninja Turtles, Leonardo...

Star Trek also exists in the “my little pony: friendship is magic” universe, seen mostly in the comics

You left out Jeri Ryan's appearance on Boston Legal! Some of the fans called it, "Kirk kisses 7 of 9!"

My favorite bit from the Futurama episode: "... the Star Trek Wars." "You mean the vast migration of Star Wars fans?" "No, that was the Star Wars Trek."
