Interesting that for 8 of the cases, they are either movies or "alternative" depictions in comics designed to show what-ifs where Superman does not behave the way we understand him. Only the first one about property damage, mostly based on his very early appearances pre-WWII which are admittedly rather different to most of the more modern way, and the "walking to reconnect" story, which is in many ways given justification in the video description, happened in "canon" comics. That probably says something.

7:45 you know, I like how Moore handled the idea of Superman taking a life as opposed to other writers. In a lot of stories with a similar concept, Superman apparently only has to kill a single person in order to do a complete 180 on his morality and become a facist dictator. This trope never felt right to me as not only is the logic just really dumb when you actually stop to think about it, but it just felt so out of character for Superman to just immediately turn evil after purposefully taking a life for the first time. In WEHTTMOT, Superman is riddled with guilt and realises that he shouldn’t have the right to take a life with his powers. As nobody should have the right to kill, especially not Superman. And so he walks into the yellow kryptonite room, giving up his powers for good. To me, the idea of Superman giving up his powers after taking a life so that he won’t be able to harm anyone like that again feels so much more true to Superman as a character. And way more believable then any other story that uses Superman killing as a flimsy excuse to turn him into super-powered hitler because edgy!

Even though he’s an alien with incredible powers he’s also one of the most relatable his story is one of an immigrant coming to America to do good but hes constantly judged and hated on but he never gives up no matter what.

There was also the time during the early 90s where Superman was affected by Brainiac so that he believed he had to leave Earth for a year to avoid harming his friends and family. He went into deep space and eventually returned safely.

Superman: Lois and Clark (2015): the Pre-New 52 Superman and Lois arrive in the New 52 universe and found out that New 52 had it's own Justice League. Clark didn't want to intervene and decided to "retire" and raise their son on a farm he and Lois "rented". Clark only handled the small time criminals though.

Okay, Superman Returns is a re-rail. Forget III and IV happened. Go back to II in which he chose to forfeit his powers. That made tender intimacy with Lois possible. Then he restores his powers to defeat Zod & minions. Lois is torn apart having to keep the secret of Clark Kent while she's in love. Supes solves that by wiping her memory, thinking she'll forget her feelings for him as well. Neither realizes she's already with child. He flies to the remnants of Krypton not knowing how she feels. The only unfortunate part of this continuity is it stops working if you accept the Donner Cut of II. It shows Lois' amnesia, as it were, was the result of Supes reversing time again. Logically, this would mean the pregnancy never happened.
