Couple of things. Austin didn't throw an IC belt off a bridge, they swapped it with beat up old WWF tag. The US belt Nikita destroyed wasn't replaced by a belt that was used until Invasion. The first WCW US belt was a 5 plate belt made by Reggie Parks. It was replaced around 1995, when Flair was champ by a 3 plate belt made by Joe Marshall.

I'd say resurrecting ECW and the ECW title, and then turning the company/brand and its title into the least extreme, most vanilla wrestling show on television was the most disrespectful of that belt. Honorable mention: Verne Gagne attempted to bribe his friend the Iron Sheikh to shoot on their famous 1984 Title changing match. Verne was angry that Hogan left AWA for WWF. Gagne placed a call to the Iron Sheikh to actually break Hogan's legs, (and the 1968 Iranian Olympic wrestler was capable of doing it) steal the belt, and bring it to AWA. The Sheikh refused, but can you imagine if the Hulkamania era never got off the ground?

During the Vince Russo era of WCW Scott Hall had both the US title and the TV title. He threw the title in the trash saying it was worthless. Later Hacksaw Jim Dugan who was a "Janitor" at the WCW shows found it in the trash and started defending the TV title on their Saturday Night Show.
