Mind blown at the Midi FX section. I was in awe watching this the whole time. Apple should seriously hire your or license your videos to show the power of Logic. So many things that seems like you need to buy Plugins for are all built into Logic. Just yesterday, I also discovered how Logic has its own built-in plugin like Alterboy in another video. Every time I watch your videos I learn something new. Again, just mind blown.
@Superdelphinus
@Superdelphinus 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s why I always recommend people don’t buy loads of plugins for at least the first 6 months of owning logic (and most other DAWs too to be fair). 90% of 3rd party plugins are shinier, well-marketed versions of things that logic can do already and imho people should spend their money on really good instruments (real or virtual) and hardware. Having said that, obviously there are quite a few notable plugins that either do things that logic can’t, or are just much more powerful - soundtoys in general is one of these I think, funnily enough.

@@Superdelphinus Agreed. I actually just started this new musical journey where I told myself no plugins until I master Logic, music theory and sound design. That’s how I started discovering all these amazing videos and so glad I did. Only plug-in I bought was Serum so far. I’d rather spend money on hardware and quality instrument samples.

To be honest I think most Logic users don’t know Logic deep enough. That’s one of the things I see over and over again, even when it comes to the stock plugins, samples, loops, etc. It’s really “sad” when I see people buying third party plugins and all that, when I know they haven’t spent not even 5 hours just exploring Logic’s capabilities

Drummer is brilliant too for great basic , seemingly simple beats.Then introducing slight variations across the arrangement.Adjusting the pattern then saving as a new pattern.Works brilliantly for a full track.Without overdoing it.Basic is best.Playing for the SONG.Then have drummer control the sounds from AD2 or other drum software.

In the transpose part you can select the track and press option R up/down arrow to adjust it by increments of 1/-1. Damn never thought of taking an apple loop or sample, deleting the sound, keeping the plug ins just to add my own sample to see what it does, good find!!

5:00 a little after this point, you start going into dragging, dropping and chopping Apple Loops. I’m on an ooooold version of Logic (10.2.4 or something) and I can’t update due to my Mac being about 15 years old and running an old OS, so I can’t drag and drop. Is there a way to parse out sections of these loops and chop them up, just without the drag and drop function?
