I love this, we need t0 know love is shown to know that extended our love from ourselves to others is what we are here to do. People are greedy and dont want to extend anything and that's sad because we always need each other. People think they are soooooo independent it urks my nerves

I think the 'love yourself first' part refers to the fact that you'll bring the wounds and trauma that prevent you from loving yourself in the love for another, like projection, and it'll throw a wrench in the relationship eventually. It doesn't mean you're unworthy of love, it means you're incapable of loving others fully. You'll be downplaying your wants and needs, you'll sacrifice yourself for another, allow boundaries to be crossed by another..this will lead to resentment, arguments and a general feeling of discomfort within the relationship. Love yourself first does not equate to be unworthy of love or being unlovable!

Remember you have a 'relationship' with EVERY other being you interact with. Whether it is a intimate relationship, sexual relationship, friendship, professional and even incidental relationships,(the stranger you meet in passing). You have as much control over what that relationship is as does the other person/being; They don't have more control or less control than you do! You (or they) may impose that control either more or less than the other but that doesn't diminish or increase the control of the other even tho it will often cause the other to impose less or more control themselves. You are responsible and capable of making any relationship you have what you want it to be.

The best kind of relationship is when you choose to be with each other and is not driven by emotions like love but by choice. If there are no emotional attachments from both sides then they are free.
@roses65649 ай бұрын
That choice is made because there is love in the first place. Despite popular tropes, emotions are not arbitrary or misleading. They are an authentic, socially un-corrupt way we find out about ourselves and others. Let's not continue to spread misinformation that sounds good in the textbook but is realistically absurd. Why would anyone choose to be with someone they don't love and have no emotion towards, no natural affection?

I also love your impartial attitude towards the nature and needs of both men and women. No red pill, or manipulation tactics in a world where the divide between men and women is sadly ever increasing and popularized. It's always pleasure to know that someone is beyond their personal state. People watch videos and sometimes can not tell difference between "physical avatar" and "real wisdom". But those ones will understand; the ones already gotten over their avatar and moved beyond their personal perception. Who able to tell between "mind" and "intelligent consciousness" of itself (as being) . What you tell people is your intelligent consciousness and you're aware. And your personal experience is helping others no matter how painful it may seem. You chose to take the hardest path to tell people its possible: TO LOVE no matter what. Those who dislike you merely saying "I am not over my prejudice and personal state- I can not comprehend or accept beyond of my own"framed" perception because I never had to deal with myself" Therefore, thank you Teal for showing us there is no limit in universal love.

An additional point I would make is that people can react in two ways to their upbringing. The first way is how you describe - finding lovers/friends who mirror traits of their parents/primary caregivers in order to feel some kind of 'resolution'. However, I also have found that sometimes one can seek the total OPPOSITE of what you experienced, (normally negative) as another method in order to self-heal. (E.g, find a very warm affectionate person to compensate for cold, unloving parents)

I think people fear the war of a break up..the chaos, the high drama far outweighs what they suffer they think. They think they lose to much materially, to hard to start over at ground zero, afraid how hard to live on one income!!! The humiliation of the friends and families learning of the failed or broken relationship..being hated, being looked down on or they are heartbroken to lose you too!! Or the divide of pets..so many hold out till someone can rescue them, emotionally, financially, asset wise, not have to adjust to empty bed can't sleep problem. Etc.

Repeat negative experiences, only shows inattention. Some people need this knowledge. Discover the couple's love language is just one result of love. Because you pay attention to the person you love. I advise against doing anything you do not enjoy to get the love of another person, but if you enjoy the happiness of the other, in consequence of doing what he / she likes, then fine. this is the freudian concept of wanting to date your mommy or daddy. However, I have never agreed with it. I think some of us will try to recreate the parent/child dynamic and others of us, like me, will rebel entirely against the parent who abused/neglected them. I exclusively date men the exact opposite of my father. My father was an alcoholic, chronic adulterer who would flaunt his mistresses in my mother's face and bring me to his mistresses homes as a child while he fucked them and i played with their children. I exclusively date the exact opposite of that. sober men from loving two parent families who are err on the side of awkwardness and nerdiness so that they feel too insecure to cheat with other women.

You have to provide love and protection to yourself. Start feeling that you are deserving of being loved and protect yourself, stand up for yourself, go after what makes you feel that way. Don't accept anything other than that. And if you have people in your life that don't seem to correspond to your needs, remember to assert those needs to them, because sometimes people aren't aware of how we are feeling, so we need to express that, and if our needs are aligned to what they can offer us, they are most likely to do so.

Totally get what you mean - if they're no longer clinging to you, it'd imply you don't serve that comfort/need for them (which implies a sense of importance in your being). As annoying as the clinging may be, we like feeling important.

The one I truly wanted is a partner who completes me and is self aware, (truly) respectful to all of me, and being powerful in expressing his true feelings without resentment. I even was given more than I expected out of my request to the universe. He is able to see right through me making me able to truly work on myself.

Jessica Schab, Jessica, it sounds like you're suggesting that because someone has been in abusive relationships, they cannot grow out of that? That is where your statement is flawed. Are you also assuming that she is/was in an abusive relationship at the time of this video? My suggestion is to watch her interview video where she discusses her childhood and you just might appreciate just how far she has come in her growth. BTW, your sentence structure has a bit to be desired. So, does that mean that people should discount what you have to say because of your history of bad sentence structure? Think about it.

That is not what she is saying. She is correct that we are attracted to people that will abuse us the way we were abused as a child because as a child we were not able to resolve those issues so those issues play out continually through our lives until we recognized them and deal with those issues. She is making you aware of why you are attracting what you have and how to change that not that you will forever be suck in that. Listen to more of her videos. She knows what she is talking about.

loving others in this attached way just feels so good and kinda right. wonder why we all do that? very rare seeing the pure unconditional love in relationships

Thais Gibson has a lot of good stuff on healing your attachment style. (Not born with these) this is the reason for attachment versus love.

This Teal perhaps (I don't know her) shows the power of marketing over the stupidity of the public. With her good looks , appealing style and memorised new age spiritual wisdom she is doing a roaring trade. What makes me suspicious of her is of all things the "visa" logo on her jacket in another video lol.
@changethematrix10 жыл бұрын
Why would you say she is stupid? What exactly dose she say that you think is dumb? You know sometimes the very thing we need to hear is what we don't want to hear.

She was born beautiful, sometimes it is difficult to have good relationships when you are, but she has great advice!

Cari Geldreich - may I respectfully suggest that you re-read Olly's comment? He isn't saying that she's stupid, just that the public is stupid! That was a silly knee-jerk response to something you mis-read.

+Cindy Villacis +Mer kaba I never heard of Teal Swan until an hour ago. She is very pretty, beautiful and appears articulate and wise. I don't want to de-bunk anything here, as I do believe in energy healing [I am medically, acupuncture and Reiki trained], and do not wish to cause any offence. Teal's words and advice seem authentic enough, but I'm not so sure that they're her own words. She may well have an excellent team of advisers, counsellors etc, combined with a great memory for the script :) . Certainly doesn't appears to be using Auto-cue! However, some here really do show their susceptibility to her looks (myself included), for example ... Re Teal's eyes: + Cindy Villacis said 'can we just stop and talk about Teals eyes? how are they so shiny????' + Mer kaba ... you refer to 'Old Soul's eyes', but ... I doubt very much that it's 'Old Soul's eyes' but rather simply reflections from studio lights!! ... 'in case you don't know about eyes' [ Mer kaba ;) ], any Doctor, Optician, medical student or portrait photographer will tell you about the corneal reflex! This is the reflection on the cornea produced by a bright light. The position of those corneal reflexes show that the light is reflective - look closely and you can see her pupils separate from the reflexes. There is no light coming from her eyes. It's cosmetic. This production has been slickly presented by her team, of course she/her team want her to have appeal. Much that I enjoy listening and watching this delightful lady, I have to listen to my internal suspicion monitors as well. Others such as Olly have already mentioned the slickness of these productions. For me the jury is still out.

I wouldn't call it stupidity. I'd call it the tendency towards a sense of spirituality that is not adjunct to the dogma of religion. She makes it more contemporary and appealing.Though, for her marketing, I don't see any of her videos monetized or really any ads on her website, nor do I really see her selling a product. I think Ms. Teal is actually genuine in her intention which is refreshing contrast to a lot of things on KZbin. I don't really take her literally on her spiritual terms though,I take it more metaphorically anyways. I use to satisfy my emotional needs rather than my objective.

Hi Teal, I just found your channel yesterday and I must say, the way you explain things and lay them out is exceptional. You have changed my way of thinking in only 24 hours. Thank you for making these videos and I look forward to hearing more of your words of wisdom
