Ok. 3 Things come to mind here: 1. Defense- I think Defense is underrated in 1v1 games. The lower you keep your opponents score the more chances YOU get to score. Slide your feet and force them to take difficult shots. If you know their weaknesses, make them use them! 2. Offense- Don't force 3's. Do your best to get to the rim and get downhill! Stay low and use changes of speed & pace to get by your defender! Remember your pivots and different finishes! 3. Improvement- from a skill point of view, make sure you're trying different 1v1's with your friends. I love to do 3 dribble 1v1's. This really challenges my ability to score in 3 or less dribbles. The more 1v1 you play, the better you'll get! I hope this helps! I will definitely work on a 1v1 video to go more in detail on this.

The best tips for me being a beginner a year ago would be to: 1. Actually play basketball a lot. If you cant play then watch basketball. 2. Master shooting from up close before trying to master three pointers 3. Practice stationary dribble moves for at least 30 minutes 4. Practice those dribble moves while moving forward If i did these everyday I would way better than I am now

Definitely focusing on a driving angle! You want to take the shortest distance to the rim. Make sure you create contact with your defender, do your best to get and then stay in front! Definitely a video I’ll work on making!! 🏀
