YaBoiBradenMoi hit the square on the basket to shoot and do push ups to get a stronger release and bend just a little and not a lot and use your index finger at the end of your shot and try to do stretches every day to get taller that will help and eat healthy that will help you be faster at running and dribbling and do not go really fast when you shoot that will make your shot bad and to get steals when Somone dribbles the ball and when it's gets down go for the steals and get these basketball shoes d rose 7 they are so good they kinda make people good and when people miss the ball go to the hoop and when the basketball falls down catch it and don't get mad when u miss a shot or u will miss more and if u want to dribble look up on KZbin how to dribble and practice every day

Ju moab Confidence is hard to get when people make fun of you for missing some shots, when ur last picked in line and when nobody passes you the ball. I cant play with anyone that are better then me because they get self minded and think about themselves and others rather then me too. I get emotional but music calms me. Can anyone give me advice for confidence? I just feel rejected sometimes.
@jumoab75488 жыл бұрын
dude i feel you, i know what it feels like being rejected, people never trust you, they tell you to pass the ball, never do anything else. just dont listen to them... you have to work every day to prove them wrong. confidence is all about believing in yourself. hope the best for you bro :) keep working

When I started off playing BasketBall when I was 5 (now I’m 12) i use to shoot like an NBA player (not how I make shots, lol but how I use to shoot) but since I tried to make my shot fancy, I barely scored any of the season. When I turn 8 my coach told me about the hand trick, which has helped me ever since, but not 100%. You get your dominant hand ( your better hand) and line it up with the goal, then you shoot the way you shoot. I have a very unique shot form, but I still make 3 out of 5 of my shots. All I can say is don’t be fancy, do what your best at doing

HELP NEEDED: Ok I am a 14 yr old 5.5 110 lbs point guard who is trying to make next years basketball team. I can drive and finish well, shoot free throws decently but I can't hit a shot beyond that and I think I can make my sophomore team if I work on my shot. Any suggestions why I can shoot free throw well but can't hit a mid range or three?
@aaronblack23028 жыл бұрын
Nick I used to be like that but I couldn't shoot free throws. Try shooting under the basket, then take a step back every time until you can't make 3 shots in a row. So start under the basket with a simple floater, then start shooting after that. You'll end up shooting free throws and threes. Shoot once and move back if you make it. You can also dribble up and down the court and finish at one end with a layup and then go down to the other end and shoot from the 3 point line or a little bit inside.

@nickschupak26968 жыл бұрын
Nick, the most important thing to remember about any shot, be it from 2' or from half court, is that the form is exactly the same every single time. There is one (only one!) difference between a shot from near the hoop and one from far away: how much you use your legs. You should upload a video and send the link of you shooting once from near, once from 15' and once from behind the arc. I will almost guarantee that you are using your arms more as you move farther from the bucket. The more you use your arms, the more things can go wrong from catch to release. Would love to help you!

A tip is to always use your sight. Don't use your fingers to aim. When you aim, you have to tell yourself "that's where I'm shooting" and look at your target. Don't ever look anywhere else unless you need to. When you eventually get use to aiming by sight, it gets alot easier. This also can go for dribbling and switching hands in between your legs. You just need to practice and focus. Be determined but not too determined. Relax a bit but stay steady.

make sure your using your legs the strength to get your shot to the rim should be coming from your legs not you arms
@DanPajun8 жыл бұрын
you just need to maximize your momentum. you dont necessarily have to be strong to have range. you need to make sure you are releasing the ball with the most efficiency. this means that you are using your legs and arms with perfect timing to make sure you get the most out of the momentum. if your shot is short, try releasing the ball at different times. see if you are shooting too early or too late. when bending your knees, bring the ball up sooner or a bit later and see which one is more efficient. try to make it where your shot feels fluid. many people end up releasing at the wrong time which loses the momentum of the shot and reduces range.

I have 3 tips to improve your shooting: 1) As you load up to shoot, imagine the ball going through the exact center of the hoop, 2) use your finger pads (tips) on the ball as you load up to shoot, don't let your palm touch the ball and 3) make sure you have a good arch on your shot, avoid shooting a flat shot.

I can't even flick my wrist while shooting and if I do I miss. my shot is inconsistent from 3pt line, my 2pt goes in more than most.
@CJPSofficialyoutube8 жыл бұрын
Try to jump higher but you might need to work on ur power if ur 3pt jump shot isn't consistent
@jumoab75488 жыл бұрын
i dont know if this really helps but i had a real slow release, i made like less than 10% from 3pt line. one day i tried to release the ball faster and it gave more power to my shots
@CJPSofficialyoutube8 жыл бұрын
Rainy! Good tip
@_Maxten8 жыл бұрын
I 100% feel you. I had those EXACT same problems. And I fixed it. What I did was I started shooting with a higher arc. Try to rainbow your shot a little bit more. Bc if you don't you're basically trying to push and force the ball in forward which is not a good thing.
@_Maxten8 жыл бұрын
If you're having a hard time raising your arc and extension of your arm when releasing, one drill you could do is have someone run at you and try to block your shot. This allows you to force yourself to adapt and raise it or else you'll get blocked

have you ever realized that you along with all the great shooters in college the nba wnba high school etc. all should with their feet slightly turned at about 45° you should start teaching that it's called the turn and you aren't supposed to school your feet....that's old school, get with the times man all the good coaches and trainers teach it that way now

teaching kids to shoot and stand there and not go for rebounds.
@HowardEliteBasketball7 жыл бұрын
LABELKiLLZ No I'm teaching kids to follow through. you won't have to rebound your own shot if it goes through the hoop. and how many times do kids actually get the ball when the follow it for the rebound? why teach kids to follow there shot and build bad habits of not following through. do you see steph following his shot for a rebound?
@Audioistic7 жыл бұрын
If you think about it what is the actual percentage of a decent shooter? about 50%? so half the time they would need to help with the rebounding. I agree you must hold your follow-through, but not until the ball hits the ground. Steph plays in a professional league against 7 footers where realistically he will not be able to rebound the ball as often. I just think you should teach kids to be more of an all-around player. Too often I play (with adults) and see people shoot the ball and stand there when they could have got their own rebound if they took a few steps inside. Any decent shooter should know by the time the ball hits the tip of the arch if it's going in or not. All I'm recommending is if you don't 100% feel it's going in, go in and help rebound/box/etc. Love what you're doing btw, just don't agree with holding a follow-through that long. Keep up the good work.
@HowardEliteBasketball7 жыл бұрын
I hear you but training is about perfecting a certain skill. In this case shooting is the skill. So I disagree with you. I will never train a kid to chase a rebound while we are working on perfecting a shot it doesn't make sense. Now if you are coaching a team maybe, but in this situation when we are talking about training I would never tell a player leave your follow through and chase a rebound. And the comment about curry proves my point even more. Are you getting players for rec league or the NBA. Because I want players to train for the highest level.
@Audioistic7 жыл бұрын
If you want players to train for the highest level you should teach them to rebound and become a more effective team player, not just a spot up shooter who has nothing else to offer. Even at the highest level (NBA) they don't hold their follow-throughs until the ball hits the ground. I dare you to find highlights of any decent player who holds it that long. I think I may have seen Westbrook do it once but that was on 'shaqtin' a fool' lol
@HowardEliteBasketball7 жыл бұрын
LABELKiLLZ you are lost bro why teach rebounding on a shooting form video??? I teach other things on other videos . Trainers do different things for results no I don't want kids sitting there and holding a follow through but I want them to exaggerate it for the drill. But since you got it all figured out imma let you have it lol.
