Thank you, this is so helpful to be reminded that it's shapes and values that are the essence of drawing. I found that when I changed the video speed to 25%, it was easier to watch and think about how you are making marks. I muted the volume so as not to be distracted by the very odd audio!

I so love naked trees.. fully dressed trees..&trees in process of shedding? I have dreamt of doing these sketches.. so now I may actually attempt this! You have a way of simplifying things,,, but I'm FINALLY realizing I need to ATTEMP a few hundred times to actually bring together all that I'm learning from you.. You seem to exude patiencefor which I thank you😊

@@LeslieStroz Thank you. By the way, I recently ordered a full pan mixing palette of 14 colors produced by Roman Szmal from Poland. The package from Jackson's Art Supplies arrived today and I was eager to see for myself the bright colors I had heard about and try them, especially since they come in a metal box for such a reasonable price. The colors are vivid and jewel like in full concentration but soft and delicate when watered down. Combining colors such as Cobalt Cerulean and Quinacridone Gold, I get the nice muted tones that I like. I'm going to enjoy experimenting with these new colors. :)
