Let’s View The World TV
www.lvtw.tv
I’ve been living in Taiwan for many many years, and there are so many wonderful things I have learnt and experienced here. I primarily started this channel to share some of my experiences related to lifestyle, culture and tourism in Taiwan. The channel has since evolved and I’ve done similar videos on a couple of other cities around the world.
我已經住了台灣多年。 學到了很多關於台灣文化和旅遊的知識。 那個時候我開始拍了KZbin影片想介紹台灣。 目前我已經拍了幾個不同國家的旅遊KZbin影片。
Hopefully my videos give you some helpful tips and ideas about Taiwan!
希望我拍的KZbin影片給大家介紹台灣的生活方式和文化.
In this video I share a couple of tips on driving in Taiwan, things you may not have know before driving here, or shall I say things I think you SHOULD know before driving here ;)
Love KZbin, but you should really also check out my web page! Lots more information, links, maps, tips and other videos that you might like or find useful, not to mention everything is neatly arranged under country categories too!
Thanks for watching, subscribe to my channel to get notifications when I post new videos, and I often post new videos! ;) Also please leave a comment below if you think of something interesting I should video!

Was driving there last year, will do it again soon. It was very true that leaving room =" I let you in," lol I really love how everyone just let other cut in front, so I'd just let other do it too, it took the stress out of finding correct lanes at intersection. I wish people in Thailand do this too, it's very hard to change lane in Bangkok, Taipei is much easier, but much much faster. Bangkok = slow disorganized chaos. Taipei = fast organized chaos.

Love your videos. I am Taiwanese and would surely go to some of the restaurants you recommend! They should pay you for it..haha. I've looked at your blog but I'm curious where are you guys from? It doesn't say on the blog and I can't tell from your accent.

This is very informative. I am spending some time in Taiwan and find traffic patterns different than America and this video speaks to most of it. This is my observation I do not actually drive but take the bus. However I walk a lot and have observed a few things as well as ride shotgun in my inlaws vehicles. Cars that take a left on non-major roads have to put themselves out in the middle of it all and wait for an opening and then go. Scooters are always coming in and around cars so they have to be on the lookout at all times. They're a lot of small blue trucks. Every once in a while ( like once a day ) you will find a very aggressive small blue truck that will go very fast in narrow highly populated roads. As a pedesterian you have to be on the lookout at all times when crossing the road ( I have experence here ), even when you have the walk sign keep an eye out. I like to wait until a few other people are crossing the road and cross with them. Oh and you always have to find a way out as a car for either of the right or left lanes can be blocked and you have to see this ahead of time to make a quick lane change. The illegal to honk horn rule, I hear people honking their horns all the time particularly from agressive small blue trucks, busses and black mercedes. However they do not lay on the horn. The closest thing I can find to North American driving from my driving experience in North America is ( vancouver canada ).

The bus lane is only operated from 5am to 11:59pm. Hence you may drive on bus lane from 12am to 4:59 am

Driving in Taiwan is actually quite pleasant. But I wouldn’t drive in the big cities as public transport is pretty good. The trick is to get a high speed train to a smaller place and hire a car from there.

Hmm, I'd agree with everything except for the honking one. I rode my bike around Taiwan every day for 2 years and heard people honking like literally every 10 seconds, sometimes even more often than that.

ty16080 WOW THATS AMAZING! But officially it's illegal, you rode your bike 2 years doing what? Like sightseeing or you mean it was your mode of transport, sounds interesting!

Yeah it was my main mode of transport! That's super interesting, I had no idea it was illegal to honk! Haha I guess it's because I never drove and didn't ever look up the different laws with driving that I never knew that honking was a no-no. Awesome video by the way!

Hey, what do you mean by 'adobe'? You mean can you drive legally with ARC? In which case, NO, you need a licence, but some countries can use their local licences to drive here! Please check the video I did on who can drive with licences from their home country if you are not sure about your licence. KZbin wont let me post the link for you, but check my blog page weviewtaiwan(dot)com and go to 'good to know'
