These are the top 10 tips that I think are important to understand to quickly improve. This is kind of a way to compile topics I've already made videos on in a more easily digestible manner. There are plenty of other concepts and I'll probably make a version 2 later, as these are more surface level than some of the more in depth things I go over often.

awp without armour is a force buy strat as well if the awper is skilled and the teammates know how to use utilies.sometimes its a good call to not buy a helmet in the late round when you know the tr would buy ak/krieg.you can use that money to buy utilities.csgo is a versatile game $5000, awp and a flashbang? sounds like a plan to me

Jayo Caine Yeah but if the CTs force buy 2 rounds after winning pistol they get nowhere near enough for an AWP. So it'll be like I see 3 people with deag/armor on the second forcebuy round so I assume they save next or have deags again, but someone didn't force and buys an AWP 4th round while his team has pistols

Hey just following up on the right-eye/left-eye peek here. The reason why it’s (slightly) better to peek towards the right is because of how cs player models hold their guns. From a 3rd person perspective your model will always put the butt of the gun into their right shoulder and pivot their left side forwards, which is why the left side sticks out more. It’s also a lot more noticeable when you’re crouching!
@abdulwasay9
@abdulwasay9 4 жыл бұрын
I have cl_righthand set to 0 (Because my right eye is dominant so I keep the gun at left) will the thing you just explained above still work for my playermodel ? I don't quite know if the other playermodels also switch when I switch
@hunterrussell9263
@hunterrussell9263 4 жыл бұрын
Abdul Wasay Farooqui No, cl_righthand won’t affect this. Models will always hold their gun right-handed regardless of view model settings.
@abdulwasay9
@abdulwasay9 4 жыл бұрын
oh alright. So I should peek the cover on my left whenever I have the chance regardless of my OWN viewmodel settings.
@hunterrussell9263
@hunterrussell9263 4 жыл бұрын
Abdul Wasay Farooqui Well... technically should strafe right (press D) to gain the advantage but I honestly wouldn’t worry about any of this TOO much. Player models move so fast to begin with that in most instances the direction you peek from won’t really matter. You’ll technically gain an advantage but it will be so small that the chances of it making a difference are really low. The only time I’ve ever seen this come into play is when you’re crab-walking with an AWP vs another AWP who is also crouched. In this instance whoever is peeking to their right will see the other player before the the other player can see them but if you’re using a rifle or a pistol it really won’t make that much of a difference.

Easily the most informative and precise video I've seen on improving. While I knew most of these already, it really helps as a refresher on how I should think about my plays. Definitely a must-see for all novice and amateur players.
@davidk7439
@davidk7439 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, something this video really helped me with was reframing my thinking about it. A lot of the tutorials around are just about grinding out drills/memorizing executes (Still useful and should be done) but they speak as if they'll guarantee round wins if you do them correctly. Having the "expected value" too come into play is something I put together on my own in games, but I've never gotten it back on CS. As in, yes this was the right play, but it didn't work out, no fault of your own. Big weight off my shoulders.

@@ogglogg After a while you'll notice that deathmatch just fucking sucks cuz people keep spawning behind you and the aim kids will be tryharding like a global would. The best way to improve is through experience and having a basic idea in your head and decent team (alot of why people suck is because the team chemistry/communication or ability to hold/push something is not enough so you cant focus on your job). Its really useful competitive games and just living through the stress until a point where you just no longer feel it, also practicing angles in empty servers (I recomend Yprac map series on the workshop) and trying them out in real games after, learning utility and when to use it (again Yprac has many) I also recomend watching AustinCS's clips because he has many many useful tips for flashes positions and all that jazz

You're right about having an impact being middle of the pack on your team. Good strategy and gameplay can help you clutch those rounds where your team dies. Lots of MVPs. That's how I ranked up through Nova...not so lucky lately. Thanks for this bro. I played 1.6 for about 17 years but never really focused on comp strategies, literally 16.5 years of pubs. This goes into some things other videos don't and is really helpful.

the tip on being more dynamic with holding an angle that enemies expect you to be might have saved me a lot of grief. far too often i get one-tapped so quickly because i'm holding a very expected angle very statically and i'm also being surprised too often by enemies not holding an angle statically and coming out and finding a kill on me when i don't expect them to be there.

That impact one is what I am trying to focus on the most right now, I stopped playing csgo for the past few years but when I was younger I was like SE/SEM all the time, and was top of the scoreboard every game with 30+ kills very often but my impact was trash. A great example was train, where even when I was the only player on B I would rush B ramp and get maybe 2 kills but give them the site and my gun. Sometimes even with an awp, although when I had an awp I would also sometimes go Upper B instead. xd

1) Crosshair placment 2) Be Unpredictable 3) Abuse Eco 4) Right Eye Peek 5) Successful rate?? (Didn't get this) 6) Find Flashes that teammates don't get blinded by but gets enemy blinded 7) Impact Frags more important than More kills 8) Don't hold static angles(due to peakers advantage) 9) Staying alive is Key!
@TheJacklikesvideos
@TheJacklikesvideos Жыл бұрын
5) success rate could have been better articulated. the key takeaway is remember if you win a round it doesn't mean you played it right, and if you lose it doesn't mean you were doing the wrong play. sometimes you get lucky or unlucky. when you lose, figure out what went wrong instead of just completely changing strategy. and when you win a round, don't mistake a screwball play for something which should be tried consistently. consider for examples when he shows demos of people getting kills but explains how they were playing incorrectly and would have had better odds with a different tactic. don't be too results oriented in small sample analysis.

Yeah, I agree mostly with last one you said. You see a lot of people going for 1x1 when they dont need to and they dont advantage or risking too much when they are low health. Even in my last game, I remember that one round I get 2 nades on the begining of the round, leaving me with 13hp and with that hp I switch to a more calculated strategy and managed to kill 3 guys with HS just by holding the angles. The tip about staying alive. I know how crucial that is and before and after games always think about doing it but when in combat my brain switches to autopilot and I just rush un rlly aggro and die. Before a game I could think over what choices I should and shouldn’t make but I just can’t control it. Idk I guess I’m too focused that I forget everything.
