Makes me realize that all of us schmucks who don't make a full-time living in videography or film, spending $1000s on lenses, bodies, accessories are silly when for under $1k you can have it all and a great image for your personal projects, travel/vacations, friends/family, passion projects, YT channels. No need for a z9, zve1, gh7, etc. all a joke sold by YT creators that we need an a7s3 to be "cinematic" the marketing psychology is real ... real billions!

I’m a total beginner in both video shooting and using the Osmo Pocket series. I was looking through tutorial videos about Osmo Pocket 3 when it came out, and came across your video shot in Hong Kong demonstrating how to use this little gadget. That video amazed me with how much the Pocket 3 can do, and how well you explained the functions that even totally beginners like me can understand right away. When I heard in this video that you’ve developed a course for Pocket 3, there’s no hesitation from me to just go straight ahead and purchase it right away! Can’t wait to begin the course now, and thanks for the tips offered in this video, as always very useful and inspiring!

Hi, I have a question about the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera. Why does the file size of a video change during transfers? For example, a video file may show as 500 MB in the Mimo app, increase to 510 MB after being downloaded to a phone, and then decrease to 180 MB when transferred to a computer. Similarly, why does a file that starts at 500 MB decrease to only 100 MB when AirDropped from the Mimo app or a mobile device to a system? What causes these size changes? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@BrandonLiUnscripted22 күн бұрын
Not sure, but small differences in file size are normal. Large differences mean it’s being compressed during transfer.

Thank you so much for this, I've just ordered the Osmo 3 and patiently waiting :D I had the first one but the quality and sound just wasn't great, and then I've been filming with my Micro 4/3 camera but it is just too much of a hassle so my KZbin channel has not been as active as I've wanted it to be. I feel that this camera + learning these tips and settings with help get me back on track with video! A quick question: Is it possible to have a specific set of settings for vertical filming (for Instagram stories etc) that are saved and activated as soon as you flip the camera from horizontal to vertical video? For example what you mentioned with using 30p for vertical. That would be quite handy :) thanks again!

I don’t know why whenever I use the DJI Mic 2, it always sounds so quiet in post.. When I put it in Final Cut Pro, even after I maxed out the volume, it’s still doesn’t catch my voice in the volume that I wanted aka still very quiet 🥲
@BrandonLiUnscripted9 ай бұрын
If you record internally, the level will be very low. You will need to boost a lot in post but the signal is super clean, so you won’t have noise. Use the Gain audio effect to get more boost.

Brandon, I purchased the course. For the most part, I'm satisfied, but I wish you had spend more time teaching to shoot creative shots using FPV mode. Also, in the "Setup & Features Overview" section, it would have better to point the lens towards a dark surface, as it is quite hard to make out the white words on the pocket 3 LCD against the light brown wood. Please consider this as constructive criticism. I have been a fan of yours for a very long time. I implore you to update the course with an additional section on how to shoot more creative shots using the FPV mode.

the problem with pocket 3 is, every time I record myself, I look very skinny, almost like a fish eye effect, which is not good at all. However, when I use Sony Alpha 4, I look normal (not too skinny, no distortion), that's the difference between pocket 3 and Sony Alpha 4. Any solution?

The problem with the DJI combo kit with mic is that the mic does not record in stereo only mono. I wish I would have known that when I purchased the kit. Now that mic is a paper weight and use my rode wireless go.
@BrandonLiUnscripted6 ай бұрын
Yes that sucks..but you could buy a 2nd mic and record stereo using both DJI mic 2 TX units. Not a perfect solution but it would work.

@@BrandonLiUnscripted Yes. The problem is I do walkthroughs so really no need for the second one. I just got a case for it where I can mount the Rode wireless go onto it. I even called them asked why would you sell it without being able to record stereo especially when if you use no mic the DJI records stereo. I got a moment of silence. lol.
