item #11... go with a friend that carries all this stuff so he's like a personal mechanic if things break!

You forgot Pocket screw driver. Nothing can get fixed without a pocket screwdriver!! In all seriousness I never knew there was radiator hose specific tape I was going to rely on my gorilla tape. So thanks for that. I did a video on my truck tool box too, but it isn't as cool as yours. But neither is my truck. Cheers🍻

It pretty much never works... unless its a super slow leak. But ive had this same can for like 10 years so its like my good luck charm... or maybe its my bad luck charm

I should definitely bring more spill fixes, thanks for the suggestion.

I bring a spill kit but generally if anything leaks out we can just shovel up the dirt and take it with us

You are so right about steel-it! I was like... “paint you can weld through! Hell yeah!” So i painted some shit it the garage and tried to weld through it... and... shit... no go👎. Also, I can so that the ready welder is bad ass. We had a spindle on a D-70 rear end come out of the housing😳... yep... and we were able to weld that spindle back into the housing and limp out. The welds you can lay down are pretty impressive for two battery power

Saved my ass so many times! Although recently weve done more driving home in front wheel drive than coming home on the back of a tow truck, they need to work on their response times lol

Got a lot to learn about this stuff but i definitely think its a better outlet. My real passion is DIY's and How-To's... and of course sharing some of this beautiful country in between

You'd be surprised how many people leave the common sense with their mother! 10, recovery is a good idea, everyone should have it for trips, especially with older vehicles, saying this I have driven 1700 miles around Scotland without it... Broke a damper, took it off, drove the rest of the way (250 miles) home. 9: not a lot of good to me, I'll leave it at home thanks. Nuts a little too tight = didn't build it right so not a thing in my book. 😛 8: 97 vehicle, No electonics to go wrong! Win-Win!! No codes, that's like the dash lights don't come on = THE only problem. Multimeter - or a lightbulb, definitely! 7: Ratchet straps! YES! how else are you going to hold all the truck in the back down! 6: Radom sealants, some but I'm not paraniod and actually check the vehicle every so often... More importantly is electrical tape and gaffa tape! You can seal things, pipes, rad hoses, even make annoying whines disappear by taking up the passengers! 5: Naa, leave the power tools at home, too much weight and you can do everything with your harm power, just maybe not as quick, but then you don't need all the charging system for the arm, jsut wait 5 mins and have a brew! 4: Specialty tools... My specialty tool is a 52mm socket! that's pretty much it! 3: Welder... No, definitely not! I drive a Land Rover that is pretty much all new (full rebuild!) so nothing is likely to break, to be fair in 30 years of abusing Land Rovers, I've never needed to weld one to get home! Diffs and driveshafts, are higher on the list! 1: Car care? No one washes Defenders! They exist to be filthy! Beter pack the jetwash too and the mobile valet. Hell, jsut don't bother going and take the pictures on the driveway! On a serious note: A First Aid kit is super important to take, if you take one thing, make sure it's a FA kit and a map... ok, that's 2 things... 😛

OBD 2 sensor? Instead buy a SCAN GAUGE II and hook it up permanently and mount it on your steering column. See problems BEFORE they become a permanent problem. I think you can cut that list in HALF and still be well covered for 95% of emergencies... AND a good First Aid Kit.
