To the girl who almost went to the movies with "Dave", don't feel bad. It happened to me and my best friend as well. I'm a lot older than you are, and back then we had to send a letter to a teen magazine, looking for penpals. My friend gave the address of her upstairs neighbor who was cool and accepted to receive the letters for us. There was this guy that we ended up giving our phone number to, and talked to him a lot. I was 13 and my friend was 12, and Dom was supposedly 16. We agreed to meet him at the mall , not having a clue of the kind of danger we could be in. We missed our bus and the next one was 20 minutes later, so we arrived late to the meeting spot. Where we saw from afar that Dom wasn't 15 years old. He was at least mid 20s And he was with 3 other men. We turned around and went straight home, and we told the neighbor to throw away any letter we would receive.

The story of the dude who was 15 is scary Because knowing socials like Instagram This story would be shared And everyone in them comments would be like “Lucky dude “ “Me next” “Mommy” “Why can’t I be the victim” “When’s it my turn”

The police saying “theres nothing we can do, you’re back door was open” while the victim had defensive wounds is craaazzzy. It’s giving “you asked for it” energy.

Specifying “we brought fruits and vegetables to eat healthy” told me that when he said “partner” the story involved lesbians! And all I could do was roll my eyes when I heard that! Also, if you’re a parent who hears your child talk about a scary or suspicious situation, and you brush them off as liars or having overactive imaginations, you are sick. You are sick and disgusting. I say that because they could be telling stories, but what if they aren’t? What if they’re being completely honest? That means that if something bad happens, you could’ve prevented it and you chose not to. That means you have to deal with the fact that you allowed something bad to happen. I want you to remember that every night when you try to sleep! Remember how your kid tried to warn you, and you were like “yeah, whatever!” only for something bad did happen and it’s all your fault!

"I had defensive wounds on my hands" What? Did a ghost attack you? You didn't get into a fight. You writers NEED to pick a script and stick with it. Especially if you're gonna fib as hard as that You people just keep proving that you don't understand life at all. Being in a poor community doesn't make it safer, it makes it WORSE. "I live in the most widwest city ever!!...... So anyway, everyone is nice to everyone and OH SO HELPFUL!" Man! I wish I could live in a utopian fantasy!

“I attended weekly therapy for 2 years and had night terrors and sometimes still do” why? He didn’t rape her, he didn’t hit her, he didn’t touch her, he didn’t even speak to her! So what was so traumatizing about this encounter that she needed weekly therapy for the next two years of her life? No im not being sarcastic or trying to start trouble. I’m slightly autistic so I don’t really have much empathy, but if someone was in a traumatic situation, I can understand that it would stick with them for a while. But she wasn’t in a traumatic situation. She just had an encounter with a very strange man!
