I live in Santa Maria, California. There's an active Air Force Base, Vandenberg AFB, very close to me. There's roughly 30 ICBM silos, half of which are still active. They still launch Minute Man III missiles from time to time(The last ones was roughly two months ago), but the rest are either for storage, training, or abandoned. I'm very interested in the history of them, and maybe, if my background check gets the OK, start saving my pennies...
