Went to NY for the first time March 2017...alone!!! Stayed in Chelsea. I didn’t know that I could fall in love with a city 😍🥰❤️!!!! It was cold and windy, but I didn’t care!!! I walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, got trapped by curb side puddles on cobble stoned streets... but I didn’t care 🤷🏽♀️!!! I loved EVERY second of it. 💋!!!

YES I WOULD. We have the best theater in the world. Broadway, Opera, ballet, experimental theater it’s the best with the best performers, directors and other staff...it cannot be beat. THE MUSEUMS. It would take you many months to go to every museum in the NY area. And it ranks in the top 5 in the world. SO...DON’T FORGET THE ARTS!😁❤️😁❤️

After living in Manhattan for 35 years (1960 to 1995) (mostly in the midtown area of East 52nd Street) and enjoying much of what is depicting in this video, I found another gem in another part of the world (a place that I merely visited for one week before I broke my promise to myself of never ever moving elsewhere). During that one week (supposed one-time only) vacation, I fell in love with a place in Mexico called San Miguel Allende and visited it 4 more times during the next years 1993-1995) before I found out I was in love the San Miguel Allende and broke my "affair" with Manhattan. And so I moved to SMA on April 25 1995 and even as unexpectedly to me, myself, never returned to Manhattan or even the USA in the many years that I made my home in San Miguel (now 1995 to, well at least today, September 26 2021), now 27 years and still counting. Once again, I figure to never leave my new love, SMA. But I did get a divorce from 3 women and 1 town, so who knows what is next?

I am a native New Yorker and passionately in love with my city. I grew up in Queens at a great time and moved to Manhattan soon after college. Thus began my live affair with the City. I also love Amsterdam, London, Paris and Rome; but as wonderful as each is, none have the energy of New York. Someday stand on one of the two balconies overlooking the Main Concourse of Grand Central Terminal and watch the rivers of human movements pour out from the major entries as three rivers flowing across the vast floor without a ripple. One thing that New Yorkers do well is zip through crowds without touching an elbow.

The best thing about NYC is cheap transportation. You don't need a car to live in NYC just take the bus or the subway. This goes for the boroughs as well as Manhattan.

That reservoir water that serves NYC passes right through the neighborhood in Yonkers where I come from. The Kensico Dam, the aqueduct that passes by RHS and into the easement of the Sprain Brook Parkway and then the Hill View 90 acre reservoir east of the Major Deegan I-87. The airspace above it needs major Homeland Security vigilance after 9-11.

Katz deli, going to NY isn't complete without eating lunch there, it's a must do! Best pastrami & deli around, a bit pricey but you certainly get what you pay for! I grew up.in NY, whenever I have the occasion to return back there, I make an immediate b-line for Katz's deli at lunchtime & then it's off to dinner at Peter Lugars steak house! Regardless of what city you may be in, it doesn't get much better than those two fine eateries!👍👍😎
