the one thing ive never done in HR is save Faridah Malik. I didn't even know it was a possibility. the chip always seemed like a red flag to me, but that was mostly genre experience.

Supermassive is good at this. In Man Of Medan: if you decide to get out of the water early after diving, the character will die anti-climactically at the very end of the game due to decompression illness. In Until Dawn, if you (for some god forsaken reason) decide to shoot the squirell at the beginning, Sam won't be able to escape the killer much later in the game, due to a wound caused by an angry bird.

I made fun of Victoria in Life is Strange because I hated her. Never regretted it, never reconsidered it, and never even bothered to look up what would happen if I’d done otherwise. Glad to know I did the right thing all along.

life is strange gave me the power to make fun of her and then rewind to do the nice Max run, don't actually regret either. Victoria doesn't actually die because of the whole time travel shenanigans, as long as you dont save Chloe at the end, and when she actually starts being nice to you, its believable and solid character development. she doesn't even do the "im gonna be mean to you in front of my friends, but secretly we're cool" thing, she just starts openly being nice

I recently just played the quarry a few days ago. Got right to the final chapter, kept every character alive, thought I was doing well until the last 10 minutes of the game then I lost about 4 characters within a 5 minute space BECAUSE OF DECISIONS I MADE WAY BACK IN CHAPTER 7.😡😡😡😡😡

@@marcusinfinity9386 NNK is childish and has a monster collection mechanic and a RTS mechanic and a city builder mechanic but all these are shallow. NA is cringe, annoying one dimensional characters, it mentions many philosophers and sociologists but the game is not deep as it pretenda to be. Edge of Eternity is broken, unplayable on PS4.

@@quinnmarchese6313 Nier: 5 endings, I played as the main character, her friend and the their enemy but I stopped then. I played perhaps 30 hours. The reviews of NNK said it was not a childish games as the first one, that it had a more serious story and so on. Reviews lied! Edge is a very ambitious game, they tried to compete with Tales and Star Ocean, but with a a new take on turn based combat similar to Trails in the Sky, grid based but not tactical. But the game crashes and keeps crashing.

i mean, almost everyone i know, including myself, who like it also know its absolute bullshit. the time travel stuff has like no rules and what rules are there are broken in the next episode, the dialogue is often either terribly written, awkwardly translated, or both, the characters have either an annoying lack of confidence or an overabundance of confidence, the entire game resting on the final decision, etc. i can go off, but at the end of the day, for SOME reason, its a damn good time. for lots of people, its the soft Twin Peaks inspiration, quirky-to-a-fault soundtrack (which is actually quite fantastic, if you're into folk), painterly artstyle, and some genuinely excellent but scant puzzles.
