In fact, many nations police themselves when it comes to war crimes so even if you win in a situation you are very much likely to be charged by your own country. An example being American troops being charged by the US military for firing upon civilians from WW2 all the way to today.

The Separatists accepted the Republic's surrender several times and they manipulated them. Yet the Republic had the audacity to call the Separatists evil who were just fighting for their freedom and independence. The Separatists warned Republic planets the Republic was corrupt and would abuse them. Yet they refused to listen to them and did nothing but complain when the empire took them over. They brought it on themselves.

I could go on. All of them were war criminals who made (pre Vader) Anakin look like a saint in comparison. None of the crimes described in this video come even remotely close to the crimes the separatists (especially Grievous) committed. Let me list a few. Remember how Grievous tried to destroy a medical station treating 60000 wounded soldiers? How Wat Tambor did human experimentation and bombed and starved Ryloth civilians? How Gunray tried to murder a senator multiple times? Oh yeah. And let’s not forget the time they tried to unleash a bioweapon on all of Naboo and planned to use it on republic aligned planets. And you think they cared about “freedom”? Just as the empire is meant to echo the Nazis, the CIS was meant to echo the American confederates.

Aren’t flamethrowers considered wildly inhumane to use against anyone though? No modern army uses them anymore. I think they might have been outlawed by the Geneva conventions, they really are barbaric. Thermobaric weapons and fuel-air explosives are the modern equivalents and while they are super-deadly they are nothing like as outright brutal as flamethrowers. In a world with energy weapons and lightsabers the only reason to use a flamethrower is because you want your enemy to suffer a protracted, agonizing death. Of course, the real-world analog for Star Wars is WWII, where flamethrowers were standard gear for combat engineers. So I guess it’s a question of what standards you want to hold your fiction to. Flamethrowers are visually cool. On the other hand, coating your enemy in napalm is also probably one of the most utterly barbaric ways to kill them. And you know, we’ve invented a lot of brutal weapons.

The slave army war crime is canceled out by the fact that the clones technically are conscripts and aren’t fighting for the republic but instead fighting for the kaminoins who are private military contractors and thus the ones responsible for their soldiers actions meaning that most of the war crimes are actually on the kaminoins and not the republic.(Also biologically the clones are in their twenties so it’s not a war crime to make them fight. It’s just a draft)

Everyone loves to point out Kenobi's fake surrender in the movie, when it's not true. Kenobi surrendered himself, and only his person, not his troops. Nor was he told to tell his troops to stop fighting. And loathsome didn't tell his troops to stop fighting either while negotiations were taking place. And Skywalker's surrender over ryloth doesn't count either. He surrendered himself and his crew, which at that point in time was only him and R2. I'd say the only one that counts is the battle of Urbana. It was a clear goal to trick the commander of the opposition to reveal himself.

I think #6 is a stretch. If I remember correctly wasn’t Yoda and his clones trying to be stealthy and not get caught? If you leave an enemy alive who has seen you in stealth ops, regardless if they are fleeing, they pose a threat to you, your men and the mission, since they can blow your cover and come back with reinforcements, so you would have the authority to neutralize that threat in real life.

There is a Yavin Code which could be similar to the Geneva Convention but not much is known about it other than it requires prisoners to be blindfolded before execution. However I’m assuming it has other rules as well. It was mentioned in a deleted scene from Clone Wars, also mentioned (by Anakin) that nobody seems to remember it because of how old it is.

Correct, China for example still use them. The USA has officially phased them out but did give some to the Iraq. Many countries still have them and some have used them. It is only a war crime if used against non-fighting citizens. Otherwise, in combat, they can be used. Although, they are extremely dangerous to use as the USA found out in WWII.

That was mainly the reason behind the setup of the Clone Wars by Darth Plagueis and Sidious. They wanted to make the Jedi go to war and fight and eventually commit the crimes for all the worlds to see the lies of the peace keepers of the galaxy. By the time Order 66 was issued, no one cared if the Jedi Order continued to exist, because they had seen their brutality.

At that point, the resistance of the world represented a political position consistent with the will of the people and government to reject a pro-Separatist direction for their world. There is no violation in the Republic aiding the people of the planet in resisting that invasion. Even sending a force to supplement the Onderonian military would be reasonable. The only limitation would be in in any way engineering a pro-Republic following the removal of Separatist forces, as Onderon would rightfully be left to determine their own future and alignment.

To be fair to Windu Jango attacked first with his flamethrower and the entire situation was a active battle Jango made his choice in fighting a jedi Plus Windu decapitating him was clearly not his intent From his angle he was aiming to cut his blasters but Jango attempting to fly away with a damaged jetpack made what would have been a disarming strike hit his neck instead as Obviously Windu couldn't predict his jetpack suddenly failing

Right and wrong... Mace, under the influence of Vapaad, wasn't trying to behead Fett... In reality, he was deflecting blaster shots, and the final blow was a final deflection. But he(Windu)lost in his trance had approached at a faster pace than he predicted he would causing what should have deflected blaster bolts to sever Fett's head from his body... And you can immediately tell Mace not only didn't intend it to happen but also how much regret he felt that it happened... All you have to do is look at his facial expressions upon realizing what happened... and to find more details about it, like Windu's mind set beforehand and his mental state afterwards, just read the novelization for Attack of the Clones. Yes, everything was done in self defense and without and malice. But no, Jango never tried to flee using his damaged thruster pack because he knew it was more likely using it would cause him to get badly injured or even die; Hence why Jango was steadfast and standing straight up when he was killed... He was actually trying to force a change in the responsive action taken against him... He didn't know about Mace and his use of Vapaad and how he more or less enters a trance and loses himself to both exuding the light side as well as absorbing and reflecting/deflecting/reversing the enemies dark side emotions.
