@codyanderson61862 жыл бұрын
@Cherylhuggins A question I currently have regarding that, is what if the parents become toxic to a degree. How do you honor toxic parents. Ones that perhaps may not be openly abusive, but rather become controlling and even micro-manage your young adult (eary 20's) life, even though you don't live a sinful, rebellious life. Like, what if trust issues dictate their parenting. And if they choose not to see their faults and receive any corrections because of entitlement. A friend of mine is going through something like this, and there may have been a few details I missed.

@@codyanderson6186 when the Bible tells us to “bless” our enemies even, one of the core meanings of that phrase is to “not speak against”. Take David as an example. He honored a “toxic” king Saul. He didn’t seek a relationship with him, the opposite actually! He constantly had to hide from him. But he would never “dishonor” or speak against “the Lords anointed. There are times that yes we might have to separate or set up boundaries. In no way is that “dishonoring”. But it’s so easy to fall into the realm of gossip and using our words to dishonor them. Do not speak against but do pray for them. This is the best way to honor those parents in this situation. Now If it got really bad and this person had to take it to the point of having them arrested for abuse, etc. this is still not dishonoring. Quite the opposite I would say. Even being truthful and calling it out in love is not dishonor it’s honor.

Yeah, it was hard to deal with crazy parents. My mistake years ago was not having boundaries with them and enforcing them. In my youth. Sheila, while we can't hate people, we don't have to be around abusive parents and enable evil ! It's not a sin to block abuse. Narcissistic people can't be pleased or reasoned with. Your mother chooses to be dysfunctional. You don't have to stay and take abuse.

"Forgiveness Does not restore trust..Set boundaries." Thank you pastor! I had a hard time trying to understand what forgiving an evil person who refuses to change! Someone pray for me. I have an evil co worker whom for three years have spread evil rumors, mess with things on my desk, provoke me to react and tries to set me up to fall before others. She will literally devise scenarios in which I will fall in front of others. She prepares wicked responses for if I answer yes or if I answer no on her calculated questions. I ignore her all the time and try to answer professionally during work and keep it short. I am tired of the harassment and being stalked by her. She is a wicked envious person. I'm trying hard to forgive and move on but it's like doing evil revives her vigor for doing it!

But the bills have to be paid. So you go. Later in life, I learned to always talk to Jesus to help me through the day. All day long. I was so blessed to have him help me through. I also noticed that my boss and others were starting to respond in a nicer manner towards me. When you humble yourself, others can become your friend. Talk to Jesus, and turn the problems over to him. Life is so better. Let Jesus be your friend 🙏

I am new to your channel and felt such a blessing! After suffering rejection from family members, husband, children etc., I have heard this message three times and will turn to it often til it helps me understand. Thank you for this message, I felt for many years like the closer I get to God, the further I got along with others. I have been abused many times and felt it was just a sign of a martyrdom, your message helped me with this misconception. My answer has been to just avoid and keep away living a very solitary life. I am glad that I ran to Jesus with this problem of difficult people. You taught me a lot, thank you for this dear brother. Please keep me in prayer.

Ohh I understand completely. Me too. I isolated myself from people who have hurt me. I was unforgiving and in turn became very bitter. I will forgive them even though they have not asked for forgiveness. I don't want to be left behind because of my unforgiveness. Christ Jesus forgave me as he hung on the cross. So I too will forgive as soon as I am offended. I'll pray for you. Will you pray for me?

I loved your examples of the church being a hospital not a museum and a place for fishing for souls not an aquarium of exotic fish. Such imagery that furthers understanding. Thank you Heavenly Father for this wonderful sermon through pastor Vlad!

You are blessed, dear pastor! You set me free by this lesson from my past , present and future!!! Wow! By the grace of God my narcissistic enemies didn't finish me! But they totally ruined me in every angle of my life. Praise the Lord: He restored me!

I really needed this today. I am dealing with grief from the death of one sister and mental illness and toxicity of the other sister. My heart is broken and I’m struggling. The Holy Spirit is filling me and directed me to this message today. Thank you for creating this message. 😢

Trouble is a narcissist won’t allow you to be silent and walk away. They follow you from room to room until they break you . Then they turn it on you when you finally snap .

Christmas is always difficult because I have a daughter who has been MIA in my family going on 8 years now. The pain is fresh every year and I can’t wait for it to be over. These teachings have helped me immensely. Thank you Pastor Vlad.
